I used this during rain showers on a Fuji S3Pro with a 35-70 f/2.8 lens and an 80-200 f/2.8 lens and everything stayed quite dry. The material is clear enough to see the viewfinder easily. I was even able to use the pop-up flash for fill. Great value and this was my second time purchasing it as I wanted one for my backup camera.

Comments about Ewa-Marine C-35 Photo Rain Cape:

I used this rain cape for when I was out photographing in the rain. Yes, it is handy but a little bit small and tight for a 24-70 mm lens on my D700. Yes it gave some protection from the rain as any other plastic bag would do, BUT the seams ripped after 2 uses. Poor quality and totally NOT worth [$]. Just use a ziplock bag instead! I wouldn't mind paying more for a more durable rain cape that would not easily rip.

Comments about Ewa-Marine C-35 Photo Rain Cape:

        Good for travel, small. Compact.
I would recommend better material though, like a full size thermal cover, since this cover won't last a long time, I don't think.

Only use this item when going to forest area. It is a slipon.

If rain starts suddenly the downsize is that you need to thread straps through holes and eye piece, which is not a fast slipon.

Other than that the raincape works perfectly fine.

Nothing fancy, but does the job at a low cost. Took these on a trip to central america and they were easy to carry around and did a satisfactory job keeping things dry in a few downpour. Not for long lens though.

Comments about Ewa-Marine C-35 Photo Rain Cape:

This is an easy to use rain cape. Does what it should and does it well. I live in Puerto Rico and usually we have constant showers depending on the season. I took it to the beach, rivers and waterfalls and it performed well. Only problem is that it doesn't fit my Canon 40D that well. I must stretch the lens opening a little in order to get it over the pop-up flash so I can see through the small hole made for the viewfinder. I was only able to get one hand to fit comfortably inside. Maybe on smaller DSLRs it fits perfectly. I would have given it 5 stars if it wasn't that small. It seems very strong and durable and takes little space in my cam bag.

Ewa Marine has better capes but for a small compact unit it enables fast setup and use when you get caught in the rain. I wouldn't take it to Niagara Falls though.

Comments about Ewa-Marine C-35 Photo Rain Cape:

The cape is made from a thick clear plastic that is very pliable and durable. It covers a 17 - 70 zoom on an SLR. The material is much more durable than a heavy zip lock bag.

The slots for camera straps could let water in if they were opened for use and it was raining hard. The cape might also not provide enough protection for the lens in windy conditions but should do fine in light to moderate rain without much wind. There is a small hole that can be positioned over the viewfinder.

Bought this just in case I get stuck out in the rain. Didn't want to pay the extra $$ for some of the other ones like this so I was somewhat skeptical that this would even fit. After reciving it I put it on my XT and it fits just fine. It's seems somewhat durable considering it's cost but I wouldn't want to use it everyday. It folds down to a very compact size and takes up very little space in my case.
