Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional RDP-III from Fujifilm is a daylight-balanced color transparency film that exhibits a super-fine grain structure with vivid and naturally appearing colors and rich tonal rendition. It has a medium-speed nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° when processed in E-6, CR-56, or C6R processes and can effectively be pulled one half stop or pushed two stops with minimal variations in color balance and gradation. Excellent reciprocity characteristics also make this film highly suitable for use during long exposures and ensures consistent film speeds and coloring across multiple and extended exposures. Medium overall contrast and saturation make this film ideal for use in a wide range of photographic applications and is especially well-suited for use in product, landscape, nature, portraiture, and fashion photography.

This item is one 36-exposure roll of 35mm film.

Next to the sadly deceased Kodachrome stock there is simply no better color reversal film. It's been my stand-by for years and it's never failed to deliver. The contrast and skin tones are amazing. I think the only medium out there that surpasses it skin-tone wise is Fuji's FP-100C instant film.

It also produces some wonderful pastel-like colors when you cross-process it. I've got some amazing blue skies and fiery red sunsets with Provia run in C-41. If you are not familiar with it grab a few rolls and start experimenting. It's easily the most versatile film stock I've used over the years.

I would choose Velvia 50 over this... but wish I still had Kodak E100VS/G as they are still better grain and color.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional RDP-III Color Transparency Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures):

We all know that slide film is gorgeous for landscapes. The Provia 100F adds accurate skin tones to the mix, which is so important when shooting people and landscapes, or people in landscapes. It's also a touch faster than the Velvia 50, which helps in some situations.

I only tried out one roll of this film to bring with my normal load of Velvia 50. The results are superb, and I'll be packing a lot more of it in the future.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional RDP-III Color Transparency Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures):

I've been using Provia for years. From the film era to the "mostly digital" era for me. It has always delivered rich accurate colors and captured fine detail. The colors are a bit strong for portraits, but accurate. Fuji discontinued Astia long ago so this is a good substitute. With so many films getting the axe these days, there will be a few that survive for the few film enthusiasts out there. And I really think Provia 100 will be a survivor for long to come. Provia 400 got discontined a couple of years ago, but Provia 100 can be pushed a stop or 2 with good results. Long live Fuji E6 films-I don't think they'll totally get out of the slide film race like Kodak did. Shame on Kodak for that! I'm glad Fuji has allowed me to keep on using those wonderful old film cameras with E6 film.

Comments about Fujifilm Fujichrome Provia 100F Professional RDP-III Color Transparency Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures):

After trying Fuji Velvia, I've decided Provia has the same high quality results with just a difference in saturation.Provia offers natural colors to make scenes and objects look lifelike and real. Skin tones are impressively accurate. Grain is smooth and sharpness is wonderful without being too sharp.Film base isn't too thin, and it dries with little curl, allowing easy mounting in cardboard slides. Easy to process and forgiving with time/temp variations by a few degrees or parts of a minute.Scans on my Epson V600 flatbed turn out beautifully. Just be aware that automatic color correction tends to change tones and skin tones may not be as accurate once scanned as they are on the slide. Overall, great for beginners and professionals. Highly recommended film.

I started using this film as the asa 400 is diminishing in supplies due to the cessation of its production. This is great slide film, and I'm particularly fond of the colors. The problem I face is whether to commit to learning this film (and subsequently how to develop it as I do my own darkroom stuff) when there is a strong likelihood that it won't be available in the (hopefully not too near) future. I really like this stuff, and hope that it remains a staple of the (diminishing) fuji lineup of fine emulsions.

I started shooting slide film for family travel for nostalgic reasons. I keep coming back to it because the results are stunning when properly exposed. The saturation is incredible with blues and greens so rich you could eat them for dessert. I find that it warms skin tones in a way that adds life to the photo. I do seem to notice more vignetting that negative film when shot wide open on the same equipment (or maybe its my imagination), but for my purposes it usually enhances the result.

Saying this film produces "realistic color" is purely subjective. Many photographers crave the saturated colors of Velvia and if it works for them who am I to criticize. I used Kodachrome from the early 1960's until it was discontinued. I've used Velvia 50, 100, 100F and didn't like the results. Provia 100F gives me the color I like and it is my only E-6 film now.

Tired of Digital Photography and miss the Slide Photos. Ordered 5 rolls of 35 mm film and I'm half way through the film and plan on ordering more. The colour, sharp images when projected up on a screen are just unsurpassed. I miss the ability to look for errors with instant review offered with digital. It just forces me to be a better photographer.

I arrived in NYC on a lecture tour and I was planning on seeing much of the city as well. I had no film for my camera but I thought, "Surely the greatest city in the world will have film for my camera." I looked for 5 days going into every camera shop I passed. Finally, a nice girl in the photo department of a drug store chain told me about B and H. I headed for you immediately and you were like an oasis in a desert of lost souls. I was so happy that I bought an entire box of Fujichrome Provia Film. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Provia has been, and remains the best color slide film for the realistic rendition of color.

Although shooting film has become less and less common in recent years, for those of us who still appreciate the tactile sensation of using an old mechanical camera, it is good to know that Fuji is still making such a high quality product for our use.

I shoot this in all my film cameras, and I have it scanned at North Coast Photo in San Diego (Carlsbad) California. The results are amazing. Great skin tones on all skin types.

I love the color rendition and the sharpness of this film. If you scan or have it scanned well, it will also play well in your digital workflow. The colors are unique to film as is dynamic range, and impossible to describe without trying yourself. They were entirely new to me as I was used to digital for so long. I tried film to learn and now like it for its colors and structure (the grain is randomly distributed, contributing to very high sharpness). I also love Velvia 50 but it is harder to use because your exposure must be very acurate. This Provia seems more forgiving to me.

I used this product in my Canon AE-1 Program for some photography classes, and instantly fell in love with the color reproduction, tonal range, and consistency. If you can grab a Kodak projector off @ super cheap, you can even project the photos on your wall. If you're looking for something that helps you make great looking photos, this is it.
