I primarily use this film for documentary and 3D stereoscopic photography. I enjoy the rich colors and ease of scanning, with little or no hiccups! I would highly recommend this film to anyone. I would however state a word of caution to everyone, that like most E-6 films out there, it's a good idea to get the exposure dialed in just right...slide film can be a bit unforgiving at times! Since getting the right exposure is 100% user error, I can't really say a single bad thing about Provia 100F!

If you love the natural look of things, this is the slide film for you. I use it for landscape and travel. Longer exposures also require less corrections than most film in general since its reciprocity rates are much better.

This is my ISO 100 slide of choice. Balanced colors, excellent response, very fine grain (some people complain about a blue cast on shadows, this is true, but I prefer the coolness and color fidelity of this slide film over the warm shadows of others, after all I don't shoot snowscapes in shadows every day). Kodachrome is now gone, so this is now in my opinion a worthy replacement. I use it for landscape in medium format.

There aren't that many brands of film left, but that doesn't mean they stopped making the good stuff. Provia is a great all around slide film. The saturation and contrast is not as crazy as Velvia, which makes this great for people. The colors are still saturated enough though for this to be a great landscape film. Don't be afraid to x-pro is also, its great for that lo-fi kind of crazy stuff that the kids do these days with their plastic cameras.

This film has given me great colors for night shooting, and has been shown to have excellent reciprocity characteristics. You can make exposures of up to 128 seconds (that's over two _minutes_) without needing to make any corrections for reciprocity failure. Like all slide films, it has much narrower exposure latitude than negative film, which make it challenging to use, but when you nail the exposure the results are brilliant.

I'm new to positive reversal films, but I had no trouble with this brand. I'm still getting used to the light sensitivity, but as long as I add an extra stop or bracket its fine. The low cost is no bearing on the quality. It provides great color balance for scanning compared to negative film. Processing was simple and trouble free.
