I bought this coupler to use a flash unit on my Nikon F3HP. With the awkward hot shoe setup on this particular model, this was the best solution for using older SB-27 or SB-800. It works very well and provides a solid, sturdy platform for the flash.
My only gripe is that it's very expensive. I understand it's flexibility, but I did a double-take when I saw the price.
