The Nalpak TP-0950 Tuffpak Hard Tripod Case (Black) is a 9" octagonal case that will snugly hold a tripod with a length of 50-55" and up to a 100mm ball head. Each case is made from rotationally molded cross-linked polyethylene. The process takes nearly 45 minutes per case and produces a durable tripod case. The tripod case comes with 2" of foam in the lid and the base to protect the equipment. The foam in the lid is glued in and the foam in the base (which is protected from the feet of the tripod by a plastic disk) is held in place by detents that are molded into the base of each case. The case is carried by a molded-in handle.

We use the case to transport our lighting kit. We are a professional video company that travels domestically and interantionlly with our equipment. [...]The case protects our gear from the elements, both natural and the baggage handlers. Those guys care about luggage as much as we care about dressing up for work. We really don't have any cons about the product, besides the weight issue. Could there be a lighter material used with the same durability?
