Rosco Permacolor Glass UV Pass Woods-type Filter - 2x2"
This is a Rosco Permacolor Glass UV Pass Woods-type Filter. The Permacolor Standard Colors dichroic filters are durable glass color filters that transmit only certain wavelengths of light, reflecting the rest of the spectrum, rather than absorbing it.
Since virtually no energy is absorbed by the filter, light transmission is significantly higher than traditional gels and will never burn out or fade.
The Permacolor filters are made with the highest quality coatings, designed not to fade or shift color.
In addition, Rosco's sophisticated manufacturing process allows for precise color consistency batch to batch to a degree that is unprecedented in other dichroic coatings.

| Application | Passes near UV energy in the range of 365-400nm, reflecting most visible light energy. Applications for this reflector include filters for creating black light effects (requires a lamp with a high UV output, eg. This filter is to be used to remove visible light from the short-wave quartz UV tube for mineral fluorescence and germicidal purposes.

The UV light I used with this still had visible light going through AND it hurt the reactive blacklight effect I was going for tremendously. I would likely never purchase this again, nor would I ever recommend it to others for a similar purpose.
