Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter - Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter.

NOTE: Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems without problems). Linear polarizers are used with most video and manual focus photo cameras. They are not recommended for auto-focus SLR cameras

This unique filter is the result of a collaboration between Hoya and respected wildlife photographer, B. Moose Peterson
It combines the advantages of a polarizer with the warming effect of an 81A filter
The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun

Comments about Hoya 52mm Moose Peterson Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter:

I shoot film as well as digital. And obviously there's no white balance adjustmant with film. Sometimes even on sunny days the light is a tad cool in color temperature(like at midday or if it's a little hazy). And I hate stacking both a polarizer and warm up filter-that will almost certainly cause vignetting on a wide angle lens. This Moose warm polarizer is just the answer for that. The warming is rather weak, but does make a difference. However, it's not so strong that I have to carry a regular polarizer. I have made these my main polarizers and leave the regular ones at home. I have these Moose warm polarizers in many sizes for all of my lenses now-52, 58, 62, 67, and 77mm.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Moose Peterson Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter:

Got to try this out a couple weekends ago. Pics came out rather nice. Just wish I had taken more pics with the filter on rather than off. Still learning the camera but I was happier with the pics using the filter than the ones that I didn't.

Well made and nicely packaged. I note
              with discouragement that Hoya is
              moving production to the Phillipines.

I bought this filter to use with my Nikon FM10 film camera. It works as expected, give warm tone to the image. If you are a digital user, then just use a normal one and change your white balance instead.

Comments about Hoya 52mm Moose Peterson Warm Circular Polarizer Glass Filter:

                    Extremely satisfied.
My output is not too blue and does not have the bluish cast as in most CPL's now.

Use this with my 20mm and 24mm when not using the 14-24.
