I own both this bag and its matching backpack, the 200EG. If you are simply needing to transport gear to a location, the backpack holds more, is more configurable, and is more comfortable to carry. But if you need to have extra lenses, etc. at your side for immediate access, this is the bag to buy. I use this bag when I photograph sports and weddings.
The bag is well padded and still big enough to hold what most photographers would need to carry (SEE ATTACHED PICTURE), though there are a few limitations:
1)It does not hold a camera with a long lens attached, unless you remove all the dividers. (The 200EG backpack, BTW, does.) My 1Dx with no lens takes up the ENTIRE camera compartment.
2)My 70-200 2.8 L II lens is too long to stand upright in the bag, it must lay sideways, which takes up the entire side (SEE ATTACHED PICTURE) If the bag were taller, there would not be a problem.
4)The outside pockets are very nice. The side pockets are big enough (barely) to fit a Bolt or Quantum battery pack. The front pockets have zippered pouches for memory cards.

What I carry in my bag: Canon 1Dx body, 24-70 2.8 LII lens, 70-200mm 2.8 LII lens, 2X teleconverter, 600 EX-RT flash, external battery pack for flash, light meter, misc. cords and memory cards, etc. No room for more lenses.

Will not hold two bodies and eight lenes. Good for storage could not work out of this a member of the press. I had to remove the dividers to get my equipment in the bag.

If you have one body two lenes and a flash it would be great. Plenty of pockets for small things.

This bag works well for me. It is replacing another shoulder bag that I had for over a decade. It feels like it is constructed very well. It fits my main camera body and several lenses.
This also feels good to carry on my shoulder for an extended period of time.

Terrific. This bag holds my Canon DSLR, a Canon Camcorder, Microphone and 2 lenses. It is really nice and is highly recommended, especially from B&H. This bag is not on display. But you have to ask for it. The wonderful salespeople at B&H will find it for you. I had purchased a smaller Canon bag previously and returned it because it was too small. Returns at B&H are always easy either by mail or in person. You have no worries buying from B&H.

Since I already use one at work, I purchased another because it has more pockets and room than any of the other camera bags I've used before. Extremely high quality, worthy of the Canon name.

This is a very nice bag for a very reasonable price. My professional 70-200mm lens doesn't fit on end, but by removing the dividers from one side, I am able to lay it down. That still leaves the other side for my light meter and two other lenses. There is lots of room and pockets for accessories. Great bag!

I upgraed my camera bag so that my equipment, lenses, hoods, etc. were not in competition for space. The bag is user friendly, stylish, and adjustable to fit my needs.

I guess if the camera bag was completely water-proof it would be an added bonus.

Just what the dr. ordered. I don't have a lot of gear right now but it all fit in here & I have room to grow. Well made bag with good padding. Can be arranged in a lot of useful ways! Deep enough to stack over & under on the smaller items. Two small removable zipper bags can come in handy at times.

The outside pockets are perfect for holding items that I need quickly while the inside is padded to protect my camera and accessories. It was a great addition and reduced the clutter of my previous bag making things easy to find for quick changes. I would recommend this bag.

Very functional and looks great. Use it extensively in all kinds of situations and have not been disappointed with it's workmanship.

The Canaon "1EG" is the best camera bag I have owned in forty years. It is built to military specs. The thickness of the nylon, the stitching, the padding, the dividers, and the heavy-duty zippers, are second-to-none. Just the two or three extra inches in width, add so much more room for lenses and accessories. With all of this, it is still a light weight. I did a double-take when I saw the [$] price tag.

I upgraded from a smaller bad and dont know what to do with all the extra space, guess i have to buy more gear now. A fun feature I found that i wasnt expecting was that there are a couple removable pouches on the inside, perfect if you are going to put some filters in and just wnt to grab and go.

Comments about Canon Professional Gadget Bag 1EG:

I have several Lowepro bags but I love the value of this Canon bag. I have two of them, one for my flash gear and one for my camera and lenses. Very configurable with all of the included dividers.

Comments about Canon Professional Gadget Bag 1EG:

I originally thought this bag might be too large, but I purchased it and am quite happy with it. I loaded it up with my camera, two lenses, bounce flash, all their manuals, cables, batteries, and chargers. Everything fit neatly and perfectly in its own compartment and I still have room for more.

I like the fact that the manuals fit in a zippered slot in the back, the cables all fit in a zippered compartment on the lid. There is room for either two camera bodies, or one with the lens on it.

You wouldn't want to lug this thing around all day, but the strap is comfortable and not inclined to slip off your shoulder. It certainly keeps everything together, protected, and well organized.

I purchased a Canon camera bag for my new EOS 60D at [*] and received a bag for an EOS Rebel. That bag started to split at the seams and was worthless within 2 weeks. This gadget bag, however, is well made and provides ample storage for my 60D, a Sony NEX N, the EOS' portrait lens, a zoom lens for the 60D and a Canon flash. There is room for everything and it's easy to access each piece. The shoulder strap offers a wide adjustment capability and all fasteners work well. I'd recommend this gadget bag to anyone!
