I used this Gaff tape for big film productions and it did exactly what I thought it would do... hold down cables and wires. People walked over/onto it and it stayed put. This tape is like insurance, if you wanna make sure that you don't get sued cause someone trips over faulty wiring (cause for some reason you didn't make them fill out liability forms), buy this cause get what? On our production, no one tripped. We did not get sued. Oh! and it doesn't leave those nasty sticky markings either after your take it off. AND you can reuse it. That's what i do!
Only down side is that it's pretty bulky but that's why you have Production Assistants right?!

Use it to tape seamless to the floor. During a recent shoot it was used to tape the paper background to a carpeted floor. Upon removal at the end of the shoot, the tape had left a glue residue on the carpet which was difficult to remove. This is the first time I have had that happen with gaffers tape.

UH, this stuff works pretty much like Gaffer's tape. What more can I say. It does what it is supposed to do. I use it to stick things to walls. I use it as flags or masks. Fortunately I don't have to use a lot of it because it is expensive.

I use this stuff to tape down my electrical cords so no one trips on them. This tapes works great in keeping a firm hold onto whatever surface you stick it to, and you don't need a whole lot of it to keep your cords in place. I would highly recommend this product.

As soon as I bought it, I knew it was gonna be a great working relationship. It's perfect round form, smooth exterior, deep black colour and substantial weight made it obvious this was a top quality product. I left the store holding it's comforting form in my hand, knowing I'd made a smart purchasing decision.
On our first job together, the DoP called out "anyone have any tape to hold some black-wrap to the mattbox?". Before the AC had time to react, I whipped my roll of Matt Black Gaffer Cloth Tape out of my bag, and thrust it into his hand. I could see he was impressed with it's easy to handle form, and he seemed surprised how easy it was to tear off a neat strip. The strong adhesive confidently held the wrap in place. The DoP handed me back the tape, with a "good job", and gave me a look as if to say "I'm impressed, maybe we should work together more often". I think this tape just earned me my next gig! Thanks Gaffer Cloth Tape!
