The Photogenic 1250DRC 500W/s PowerLight Monolight (UV) offers speed, power and control, a wide choice of accessories and intuitive operation backed by impressive specs at a very reasonable price.
What good is a light if it keeps you in the dark? The 1250DRC keeps you fully informed of your power levels via its large highly readable digital display. Power settings are adjustable in 1/10 or ½ stop increments across 6 stops. The bright 250W modeling light can be set to Proportional to let you previsualize your final shot when using multiple lights. Other settings include Full On, OFF and manual control of the modeling light output.
The PL1250DRC recycles to full power in a lightning-fast 1.5 seconds with short flash durations that help you stop every gesture, an attribute which is extremely valuable when working with kinetic subjects like dancers or athletes. The color corrected flash tube prevents blue hues from creeping into the color balance on subjects like a bride in her wedding dress. The tube also insures a flattering skin tone rendition.
Convenience features include a test button, optical slave and integral handle. The PL1250DRC comes with a 7.5" reflector and is compatible with a wide range of optional accessories including grids, snoots, parabolic reflectors, softboxes and umbrellas.

Comments about Photogenic PL1250DRC 500W/s PowerLight Monolight (UV):
I already own 2 2500DR Photogenic Lights and because of my satisfaction with them I bought the 1250 when I was looking for a light with less power. This light will be used as a fill light as well as a main light when a short depth of field is required.
I am very satisfied with the light and will likely purchase an additional light to serve as an accent.

Comments about Photogenic PL1250DRC 500W/s PowerLight Monolight (UV):
Photogenic name was what promted me to purchase these lights - and a great deal from B&H photo
however for the first time i sent up the lights the plug for electricity on the unit pulled out and is just flimsy plastic. the tiny attachments to keep everything running were barely held on.
Everything else on these lights work great and powerful. However living in Canada and the first attempt at using my new lights these wires and cords popping out on me - i was not a happy camper.
Yes i would buy other Photogenic equipment in a heart beat and I would buy more of these units i just won't be trying to unplug them.
