Very convenient, especially while traveling. Just shoot your film and drop it in any postal box.

Postage is somewhat confusing, the envelopes say 2 first class stamps but according to post office counter clerks this is not sufficient. Last checked required #1.30 or so...more like 4 first class stamps.

The service seems to take on average close to 12 days, but varies depending on what part of the country you send from/to.

Yes it took about two weeks, but, I got back nice 5 by 5 prints, with a scan cd in 2079by2048. If I were to order this from other services or even directly from A and I it would be over $[$]and as high as $[$]. In fact I hope this wasn't some one time error. This was a very good value.

This company never had a quick turn around time but my last 2 orders haven't even been returned i will never purchase again. Now i use fuji mailers for my slide film.I do not want to use my remaining print mailers as i will end up losing the film if i sent it to A&I.

I use these for all my film development & printing, as I have no local resources available. The service is pretty quick, considering the mail-time, and the prints are always very nice. For $[$] more per roll, they'll scan your negatives to a cd. B&H has by far the best price on these--a much lower price than sending the film directly to the company, even. I hope they continue to carry these.

They take up to 6 weeks to turn around a processing order. My last 2 rolls were lost. They did not respond to email inquiries. Customer service phone rep was unconcerned.

The most important aspect of film photography is having the film developed correctly. There fewer outfits that do this. A and I is one, and they provide mailers to get the job done. Short turn around time and good packaging. I will continue to buy and use them.

For a roll of exposed 120 color film you get: 5x5 prints, 5x4 print index, negatives cut and placed in glassine envelope, and a CD ROM with the images saved in High Quality JPEGs of 3-4MB each. Everything is placed in a transparent polybag taped tight and slipped in a sturdy cardboard envelope shipped first class mail. For the same price, local PRO Lab takes just as long for processing, and no CD ROM. I think the A&I mailer is a good value proposition with nice results.

This is the third time I have mailed film into A&I and the third time I have had to call to get my film returned. In each case, more than three weeks passed between mailing and calling to see where my order was. Every time the response was "It looks like that order will go out tomorrow."
On the plus side, the work is top-quality and reliable, if not timely.

I'm pleased with the quality of A&I's developing. The negatives cameback clean, free of fingerprints/dirt and scratches- something that, unfortunately, isn't standard with all processors anymore. My prints are 6" x 4.5" which is great so there is no loss of image area on a 6 x 4.5 cm negative. Square negatives print 5" x 5".

Decent turnaround time. Good prints. Everything went as expected. Good product for those who aren't close to a developer, or just too lazy to go and drop it off. :)

I give this service two stars for ease of sending mailer. But the turnaround has been forever, possibly because the mail is slow to the west coast. The returned film has kinks in it. Luckily we're scanning the film so we can make repairs in Photoshop. Also, we're searching for three rolls of missing film that is MIA. I can't recommend this service.
