The third image which shows the assembled mic is not accurate. The second image shows the actual pistol grip mount is the one I received. The problem is I expected a much more substantial and durable boompole mount like the one shown in the third photograph. The suspension in the second photo, the one I received, is definitely not as rugged. It is very, very floppy when in use. I know that reduces handling noise but it's just not something that is going to last very long - a single drop will definitely break the little plastic fingers!

Additionally, the way the cable is routed makes it kink in places. The tabs that hold the cable aren't designed very well. The retention on them aren't big enough and they are located in slightly off locations. The handle on the pistol grip is open, not closed like the third photo.

The softie is good. It does not require the use of the stock windscreen foam, so if yours is eroded like mine, don't bother buying another like I did in order to use this softie. It comes with a retractable-tooth brush for fluffing it up after storage, which works very well.

All in all, I'm very disappointed with the quality of the pistol grip - it is not what I was hoping for and will be returning it.
