Celestron 11 lb (5 kg) Counterweight for CG-5 Mount

B&H # CECWCG5 Mfr # 94186
No Longer Available

Using accessories such as cameras, lens hoods, tele-extenders and a 2.00" diagonal affects the balance of your Celestron telescope.

A Celestron counterweight restores proper balance, making for easier handling and improved accuracy in the tracking of your scope.

You don't need perfect balance to operate your telescope, and in fact it is not always possible to achieve perfect balance with fixed-position weights.  You merely seek to reduce(or eliminate) swing when the RA and declination locks are released, and Celestron's counterweights help you easily obtain the balance and stability of your telescope which you desire.

Comments about Celestron 11 lb Counterweight:

It's heavy. It matches the original counterweight perfectly. It fits on the mount perfectly. Did I mention it's heavy? 'Bout 11 #s I'd say...
