This dual axis motor drive, with drive corrector capabilities, is designed for Celestron's CG-4 telescope mount.  It precisely controls the telescope's tracking speed during long, timed exposures of celestial objects, producing the best possible image sharpness.

Precision drive correction is a must for those with serious interest in astrophotography or CCD imaging.  Four speeds are available-1x (sidereal), 2x for guiding, 4x & 8x for centering.

The precision, state-of-the-art DC motor drive operates from 4 "D" batteries(not included).  The hand controller module is very compact, and fits easily in the palm of your hand.

Good quality, well built, and very helpful for finding polaris axis accurately.
One complain is the insturction, basically it is useless eventhough the installation is a brief.

I already reviewed this excellent motor drive. I just purchased a second motor set as I am contemplating another CG-4 mount purchase also.

Comments about Celestron CG-4 Mount Dual Axis Motor Drive:

I have this on my CG-4 EQ mount and it tracks sky objects perfectly as long as the mount is set up correctly. I didn't have any problems attaching the Declination axis motor but most of the time I don't use it as the mount slow motion knob is easier.
The plugs for the cord connectors could be better as they seem a bit fragile.

Comments about Celestron CG-4 Mount Dual Axis Motor Drive:

Operates as expected but the plastic covers for the motors just slip on and fall off. Not really a big deal since nothing is exposed.
