Comments about Avenger F809 Right Angle Baby Plate (Chrome-plated):

Perfect for my studio size and needs. It was particularly helpful to me because I am using an Arkay Mono Stand Senior III with my camera and due to the constrains of a wooden frame inside my studio, my C stand was ALWAYS on my way. Not anymore though. I've got an Avenger F808 and a F809 for more flexibility with my Paul C Buff Einstein heads and I could not be happier. I can even use the boom pole that came with my Avenger Turtle Stand for even more possibilities. The F809 is also great to hang the Einstein upside down and get the C stand completely out of my way and out of the studio mono stand's way as well so I can roll it around my subjects when needed. With that sturdy Avenger D600 and the F808, now I can extend my Einstein over a table with white reflective acrylic when I am shooting products (tabletop) without the cumbersomeness of the C stand.Very happy photographer over here. Check my attached photos for your reference :)

Very easy to install. Can't believe I didn't have these things for the past 14 years. Not having the light stands in the way makes for much more background room especially for larger groups.

Love it. I had a 13ft lightstand that help and Alienbee 1600 with the PCB large 30x60 softbox. I bought this to be able to have more floor space. It was quick and simple. 8 screws and then just mount the AB1600. Perfect!!! No more stand, and this mount is bombproof and made very well. I will be buying 6 more to mount my hair lights and background lights. Say good buy to studio clutter cause by light stands!

I'll be putting some reasonably serious weight on this, and was worried about how strong the right angle would be- but wow, it's great.

A critical part for use in dedicated studios to reclaim floor space...less stands with less chance of tip over situations.

This is great I was able to eliminate a light stand and now have the light hanging on the wall, which is great for my studio. The less on the floor the easier it is to work with kids in a studio.

I heard about this in Christopher Grey's book. My studio has open beams and I've attached several of these to the rafters. Terrific, extremely durable. As a dog photographer, anything that will keep stuff off the floor is great!! At one time I had an avenger stand with a long boom and a softbox attached to the end. During the shoot, I freaked out, What was I thinking, I could end up with a dead, electrocuted dog!!! Glad I stumbled on these.

It looks just like in the picture. It will allow me to have my flash unit attached to the ceiling, negating the need for an awkward light-stand and boom setup.

I like these better than the Mathews which have screw holes larger than a stud width. Great for recovering floor space in the studio.

worked great on location when shooting my short film. gives a practical way to create great overhead theactrical lighting any where. Or provide low angle lighting. Great for student film makers looking for an option to get away from tripod stands...
