Gepe Anti-Newton Glass Slide Mounts - Besides the standard format slide mounts, Gepe, to a great extent, accommodates special needs. For example - slide mounts for the Minox miniature format, half frame, APS or the Hasselblad Xpan camera are available.
The special format slide mounts are mainly glass mounts, but there are also a few glassless models. These mounts are made for specific and unique camera formats, special purpose use and preferences such as special effects in slide shows.

Comments about Gepe 35mm (2mm Thick) Anti-Newton Glass Slide Mounts - 20 Mounts:
These are very good slide mounts in that they are very clear when projected, and they are easy to mount your slides in to. It is handy to remember to run warm air over your slide film before cutting and mounting to avoid condensation within the glass, or if your slides are already mounted in cardboard from a lab then run them through a projector a couple of times to evaporate any residual moisture that may be clinging to them. Also give the inside of the glass a once over for dust and static just before mounting. This is a good and affordable glass slide mount.

Comments about Gepe 35mm (2mm Thick) Anti-Newton Glass Slide Mounts - 20 Mounts:
To produce a thin plane of light to illuminate small specimens for scanning light photomacroscopy a human hair is stretched across the glass surface which is subsequently "smoked" with carbon black from a kerosene flame. When the glass is opaque/black the hair is carefully lifter from the otherwise black surface leaving a thin slit through which the desired thin plane of light can pass. this home made "slit lamps" is focussed with a slide projector on the specimen which is slowly moved throughout the stationary plane of light which illuminates only that region of the specimen passing through the center of the lens' narrow depth of field.

Comments about Gepe 35mm (2mm Thick) Anti-Newton Glass Slide Mounts - 20 Mounts:
These slide mounts are very easy to use, clean, and they close tightly. Slip the slide into the small grooves to secure it in place. Keeps out dust and is much cleaner than the cardboard mounts my slides have come in from the processing center. No newton rings when scanning, either!

Comments about Gepe 35mm (2mm Thick) Anti-Newton Glass Slide Mounts - 20 Mounts:
I was blown away by the variety of Gepe mounts on the B&H website. These were more of a test, to see how they work, and they do not disappoint. A beautiful little product.

Comments about Gepe 35mm (2mm Thick) Anti-Newton Glass Slide Mounts - 20 Mounts:
Ideal for remounting very old slides in paper mounts that through age have become bent. The glass sandwiches the film and retain the focus. Excellent choice for me in working and restoring 40 year old color slides. Hard to find at Camera stores available from B&H in addition to large selection of sizes.
