The Meade #933 45° erect image prism delivers views which both upright and laterally correct, which is particularly useful for terrestrial observing sessions. This model fits exclusively the ETX-60/70/80 telescopes, and has a built-in effective magnification of 2.4x (it is recommended for terrestrial use with longer focal legnth eyepieces).

Comments about Meade #933 45-Degree Erect Image Prism (1.25"):
I purchased this product for terrestial viewing and I needed to be very sure that I had left and right correctly orientated. The ETX 80 I put the #933 on has fairly good optics for an inexpensive telescope and the #933 does not seem to degrade them enough to be noticeable. It is a very good product while I only need one I would repurchase if anything should happen to this one. BY

Comments about Meade #933 45-Degree Erect Image Prism (1.25"):
I use my ETX60 as a solar telescope (with a solar filter) I find the 45 degree much more comfortable to use than the standard port. The 2.4x internal barlow is a plus.I just use my 25mm eyepiece in the standard port to center the sun;then move it to the erect prism to get a magnified image.
The erect image prism is well made: I do not see the erect prism line that you would usually see with this type of optical setup.
The only con is the focal length change means the eyepiece focus is far between using the standard port and the 45 degree port. Some eyepieces will not be able to focus.
