Even in total darkness you can read the minutes and seconds on GraLab's Model 300 Darkroom Timer. It is used in industrial/commercial photo labs, graphic arts, printing, hobbyist darkrooms and is probably the most popular darkroom timer of all time.

Set by seconds, minutes or a combination of the two, GraLab's exclusive dual-cam system gives you exact timing over long intervals.

Two, three-wire receptacles can control an enlarger or printer and safelight with a combination time/focus switch.

Rubber base pads, wall mounting keyholes and a recessed hand grip on the 7-1/2" x 7-1/2" x 2-1/2" polycarbonate case give you multiple placement choices.

Comments about GraLab Model 300 Electro-Mechanical Darkroom Timer:

This is a great darkroom timer for industrial x-ray film processing. High quality, easy to use & read, and durable. A "must have" for the lab. I've recommended it to several colleagues.

Comments about GraLab Model 300 Electro-Mechanical Darkroom Timer:

I bought this for use on stage at a theater in NYC rather than a darkroom, so it gets a lot of wear and tear, but is holding up very well so far. It features a nice readable display, an adjustable buzzer sound, and an outlet for plugging in a bulb to go off when the timer is done. It's easy to use, as well.

Comments about GraLab Model 300 Electro-Mechanical Darkroom Timer:

Tired of all things digital, especially photo software, I decided to set up a small darkroom and break out my old OM1s, so ordered a whole kit from BH including the GraLab. I had other timer choices, but remembered the ease and comfort of the big timer's glow back in the days I processed and printed all over the world.
Overall, I'm not disappointed, although this model has a lot more plastic than the older ones and is a little "slicker" in design which results in a beveled case which makes it sit with a slight downward tilt.
On the positive side, it does exactly what I expected and appears to be very accurate and certainly easy and intuitive to use--great when you're really busy or new to darkroom work.
On the negative, it has a real cheesy on/off switch with a little plastic splash cover that makes the switch difficult to operate. I can't see the reason for this as the other switches have no covers and the device is certainly not water resistant. Additionally I've had trouble with the too-loud alarm making a buzzing sound even when turned all the way down. Both problems were easy to fix.

Comments about GraLab Model 300 Electro-Mechanical Darkroom Timer:

I had used the GraLab timer for about 4 months before I found one that I liked better.

I had no problem seeing the time in the dark and the cord fit into my enlarger fine. Also kept accurate time.

It is a decent timer. The replacement I found was more aesthetically appealing to me.
