Very well made, at a no-fault price.
Lots of open mesh for good ventilation.
Attach a tiny LED flashlight to a snap-back key holder and clip that to the D ring. Use another D ring to hold your sunglasses.

This vest is still the most superior design available on market (nothing can match it), but material used for the mesh part is not what was previously available when this vest was in a military production. Now nylon mesh is a joke (on three vests from four I ordered it was already damaged on new products, before vests were even used). Until Humvee totally replaces this too thin mesh with more serious durable one, the vest is not practical. I used this particular design (old military version) for last 15 years around the world under all possible conditions, now I need to replace it with the new one, and I literally beg Humvee to do it right, switching to the military grade durable nylon mesh. Thank you.

This vest is exactly what I wanted at the price I was willing to pay. I especially like the vented top and back as I live in Southern California and wanted something that was cool. It has more that enough pockets. Appears to be well made.

I bought this vest to replace an uncomfortable and awkward fanny pack I use for my photo gear. So far, so good. There are plenty of small pockets, several large ones and the vest holds what I need with ease. This generally includes a wide-angle zoom lens, a 70-210mm zoom telephoto, insect repellent, a hunting knife, compass, extra battery and memory card for the camera, cell phone, filters, emergency blanket (tiny), and other small odds and ends. There is room for plenty more.
The vest is of lightweight construction, with a fair amount of mesh. This is good for me, because it's very hot in the summer here, but we'll see how this works out with durability. It is comfortable to wear and doesn't add much of its own weight. You can't beat the price for the features.
Except for the macho "Humvee" and "Combat" labels, which seem totally unnecessary for a photo vest, I recomment this vest. Picking nits, I guess.
Buy it. Unless you need a lot of warmth.

I wanted to use it for a trip to Africa but it was just too much vest. It made me look huge.

This was the cheapest vest I found, but it didn't function any the worse for being economical. I just returned from several days in the Tetons, and this was a great way to carry spare filters, memory cards, and battery packs while hiking the trails. You could even carry a spare lens or two as long as they're not too large. As far as I'm concerned, this is a great vest for a great price.

Being a photographer, I'm always wanting to keep my gear in one place and ready to go ... well this vest fits things to a T. It is everything it is advertised to be ... first of all, extremely light weight and cool with all the mesh and also dressy and oh boy ... 14 pockets! Need I say more!
I liked mine so much I ordered a second one! I keep all my gear I'll need for a shoot in the first one and since I always carry a camera or two or three with me, I use the second one when going walking and also for shopping in the mall to carry my credit cards and camera and no purse.

I love all of the pockets to carry my different lenses and other items that I used to dig through my bag for while I am out shooting. I live in Florida so it seems it's always hot. I like the lightweight, bretheable material. The only problem that I have had with it is that one of the zippers broke, but I was able to fix it with no problem. Don't know what I would do without now!

This is a terrific vest with lots of pockets of varying sizes. I love that it packs into one of its own pockets. The large waterproof pockets are big enough for extras I pack around like a small video camera. You never know what you're going to want to record when you're out shooting photos. I only have one question: What are the two velcro strips on the inside of the vest in the lumbar region for? I'm itching to know.

If you fly a lot and are always pressing the limits on your baggage weight, this is a life saver (and money saver). On my last trip I managed to get 17# of "stuff" in the pockets. It's great for heavy things like cameras, power supplies, hard drives, books, batteries, etc. You can even put a small laptop or netbook in the back pocket. They may weigh your bags, but not you!

Mostly I shoot soccer and baseball, so lugging a backpack is not one of my first preferences. I can carry a pretty good kit with me without having to carry my backback.
I should probably have gone with an X-Large as my gut has grown more lately.

Very good product with lots of room. The only thing I would add is a pen pocket. Product is light weight and cool even in the Texas heat. I am a law enforcement officer and it is also long enough to cover concealed items along with enough pockets to carry other items. I would definately buy this product again. It is worth the money.
