I already have one and I needed another one to make the work go faster. Initially, I started converting photos into digital format and then I started to use this to convert old slides into digital format and along with movie making software put them on DVD with music so more can enjoy seeing pictures in lieu of looking in a photo album or projection screen. When all slides and pictures are converted, they can be combined on one DVD to watch, share or prints can be made of the slides. I also use this in my small home business converting slides for a company into digital format for their archives as well as it gives them the ability to enlarge the scanned object for brochures, etc. Using the slide scanner with the round tray operates so smooth and fast. I can't even think of anything I don't like about it. I would recommend this round tray to anyone using a slide scanner and the proof is this is my second round tray.

Plastic framed slides will not feed properly from this tray into the scanner. However, cardboard slides will. The only tray that works with the plastic framed slides is the 50 slide tray(universal slide tray) available from the company that makes the scanner, Pacific Image.
I have spoken directly with a tech/sales person at Pacific Image and his advice to me was this: "if the slides do not fall out of the tray (holder) when tipped upside down, then the slides will not properly feed into the scanner."
It seems his advice is correct. So in summary:
Cardboard for the round (white) 100 tray
Universal tray for plastic framed slides.
By the way, the scanner does a magnificent job on Kodak slides!!!

Comments about Braun Round Tray 100 (3.2) for Multimag - White:
I bought this hoping to be able to load more slides at one time. I am using it with a PowerSlide 5000, and the way it mounts in makes it extremely difficult to line it up and get it started properly. Also makes it difficult to see what number slide you are on. I actually took a marker and wrote on the backside the numbers as when it is placed in the unit you can't see the front so you woudln't know what number you were on. The width is a little tight, but when i got it working it didn't seem to have any issues... i think i had more of an issue with the powerslide 5000 then this itself... With that said, i found for my situation i liked the regular 50 tray which was easier to use. Since it takes 3-5 min per slide, 50 slides was sufficient in batch mode anyway.

Purchased for use with Pacific Image PS3650 scanner. Works well with this scanner, as long as you load only full trays. (Partially filled trays will be unbalanced, and won't feed properly). Especially good with cardboard mounts - as long as they're FLAT and in good condidion. The PI-supplied straight tray is NG with cardboard mounts.

Comments about Braun Round Tray 100 (3.2) for Multimag - White:
Obviously this was an after market product and the design of it is horribly flawed. It doesn't fit snugly in the tray of the scanner, therefore it moves all over the place. Not much thought went into the design of this product - you'd be better off with the 50 slide tray that actually fits in the unit. We had 27 jams the first time we used it. Not very efficient. No instructions came with item and no manual was available online. Item was returned

This is a big time saver. I bought 2 so I can unload and reload a tray while the slides are scanning from the second tray. I have about 16-17 thousand slides to scan so this is a big time saver for a job I was dreading. Now its much easier.

Comments about Braun Round Tray 100 (3.2) for Multimag - White:
Bought it to supplement the Pacific Image 3650. The round tray works better than the straight tray that came with the 3650, there's a lot more play in the round tray, so it jams less. Since these were produced by 2 different manufacturers, there are some compatibility limitations; the round tray doesn't positively lock into the 3650, meaning that it can (and does) rotate on it's own (which means it skips slides). Found some documentation stating that the solution to this was to evenly load the slides around the tray. If you don't have 100 slides, this leaves a lot of blank slides to delete after they're scanned.

This review is for the Scanner with the Round Tray Combination:
I use the Round Tray 100 with my Powerslide 3650 Slide Scanner. The Scanner with the Round Tray is working very well. The slides I'm scanning are 20-50 years old and due to their age, some slides warp and do jam the scanner. But, I have learned how to avoid or remove jammed slides easily. It takes about three and one half hours to scan 100 slides if there are no jams. I plan to eventually scan 20,000 slides, 100 at a time, if the machine doesn't wear out.

This 100 slide carousel is a must have to be used with the 'PowerSlide 3650'. It produced great results and made this slide conversion process VERY efficient! I purchased the 3.2mm Mag because I was informed that it would have less 'Jamming' issues that the 2.8mm model version. I confess I did encounter two minor jams while digitizing 10,000+ 35mm slides!! Not a problem AT ALL considering the many months I saved by using this conversion set up in the first place!! I recommend this optional 100 slide magazine to anyone using the 'PowerSlide 3650'. Piece of cake! Enjoy reminicing while viewing all your old photos on your bigscreen afterwards!

On the recommendations of others I bought this to use with the Power Slide 3650. I called B&H support to find out if I should get the 3.2mm or 2.2mm version. They suggested this one. I have had two jams in about 300 slides. It does not come with any setup or usage instructions, so you will have to do a little work to figure out how to use it. For the most part it is not hard to use once you get it figured out. The one little difficulty is getting it to slot one when first inserting the tray.

The slots are tighter than the grey one and they are less secure at the bottom which allows the slides to straddle the divider. I bought both and compared them side by side....the grey one works with the Pacific Image slide scanner, the white one doesn't. Nuf said.

I needed this tray for my recent Pacific Image 3650 batch scanner. The straight tray that came with the scanner actually does a very very poor job of holding the slides and this one works much better because there is more space for each slide. The only problem I found is that this tray wobbles in the scanner and it is still too tight for some of the cardboard slide mounts. It also is not marked for numbers very well...white on white is hard to read. Other than that it's okay, it's only a tray. It works with the scanner, the original straight tray does not work very well.
