I am using this in my home audio and video system.I purchased this from B&H on 12/12/2011 as a backup in case my aging TDM-Design 24CX-4 failed. As soon as I received this I hooked it into my system to make sure it worked properly and to hear how it sounded. I listend for about 15 minutes "YUK" This thing sounded HARD, THIN and TINNY. Today 07/09/2012 my TDM finally failed. Capacitor most likely. I was forced to put the Behringer CX3400 into service. At first this thing sound as I mentioned previously but as it warmed up it began to sound better end better. This is being fed from a Denon ARV-2505 home theater receiver passed through to 2 each Amplifier Technolgies/ATI 2502 amplifiers 250 watt X 5 channels each. Just so you know that I have High end equipment. I have now been listeng for about 2 hours and it is sounding pretty darn good. I think the circuitry on these need some break-in time before they begin sounding their best. The controls very accurate and noise free. I think this may be a keeper. I will try to do a follow up in the next few weeks to give my opinion again.I hope this helps.Dan L

I HAVE NOT USE THIS PRODUCT LONG, BUT IT BECAME DEFECTIVE, AS IT CAUSES A POPPING NOISE WHEN WARMED UP. EVEN UNDER NONE LOADED CONDITIONS, I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND, THINGS HAPPEN WHAT CAN I SAY. I'M GETTING READY TO SEND IT BACK, BECAUSE EVEN WHEN THERE IS NO INPUT SIGNAL THE UNIT IS CREATING DISTORTIONS TO MY SYSTEM. I GUESS ITS DEFECTIVE AND I HAVE NEVER EVEN USED IT AT A REAL SHOW YET.

        Comments about Behringer CX3400 Crossover:

This is a great crossover. It is capable of working in 2-way stereo, 3-way stereo and also 4-way mono modes. You can use this to do just about anything you want. I am using mine on a Bi-Amped PA system and it is great. It gives me the ability to make minor adjustments of the levels that I am sending out to both my low and high frequency amps so that I have better control over the mix between each. I am very happy with the build quality and all the protection features that Behringer builds into their products.

          Comments about Behringer CX3400 Crossover:

This is an EXCELLENT crossover suitable for the MOST expensive hi fi system. It has all the features a crossover can provide. I immediate recommended it to another hi fi friend and he purchased it with the same impression. Considered the price I paid, this is a product of the century in the audio field. Construction and appearance are of high quality. No one should feel disappointed with this unit. Highly recommended without any reservation.

                  Comments about Behringer CX3400 Crossover:

I have done 2 live shows with this crossover since I purchased it 2 weeks ago. It was used as a 2-way crossover at the first event and was used as a 4-way in the second event. The CX3400 performed perfectly for these shows with very clear and natural sound. The unit has lots of useful features that I liked: 25hz low cut button, mute stitches and limiters on all the outputs, low sum switch, and all XLR connectors for the ins and outs. I am very happy with the operation of this unit and the price was right.
The coolest thing I liked was there are LEDs over all of the controls that indicate if the control is active as you change between the 2-3-4-way modes, this made it real easy to operate the unit. The only thing about this crossover that I didn't like was the mid crossover point on 4-way mode could not be set lower than 430hz, it worked out OK but I would have preferred to set it to around 300hz instead.
