Comments about Lastolite Grip Head for Skylite:

I use two of these units to pivot the Skylite reflector. They are easy to use, they last and allow for accurate and secure positioning.

Use it to hold up my large Lastolite diffuser.
Heavy duty and holds like a rock.
Spendy but it's a lifetime investment. I'll own it for the next 30 years.

        Great Boom Grip Head

Comments about Lastolite Grip Head for Skylite:

First off, this boom head is made by Avenger for Lastolite. This is the same head that comes with the Lastolite Skylite kits. I bought this head for use with the 80" Lastolite Umbrella Box. I lost the clamp that comes with the umbrella box so I needed a replacement. The diameter of the Skylite frame is the same as the Umbrella box so this head fits right on. The head itself can also be used for booms and allows you to tilt frames, booms or whatever you attach to it to any degree desired. Since the head is manufactured by Avenger, it is built to last. The only problem I have encountered is that the clamp is capable of pinching the umbrella or skylite frames, causing them to weaken/bend and possibly destroying them. Care must be used when tightening the clamp. There are also various boom or frame sizes that can be used with the clamp. I suggest getting this clamp if a normal grip clamp is too small for your needs.
