Novoflex Lens Mount Adapter - Leica R Lens to Leica M Body
The Novoflex Lens Mount Adapter allows a Leica R type lens to be mounted onto a Leica M type camera.
Although the lens will fit physically, automatic diaphragm (AE metering) or any other functions are not retained using this adapter. In this case you will have to meter in "stop-down mode", since the lens does not have the ability to have its aperture controlled by the camera body.

While waiting for the Leica M I'm using Sony NEX-7, mostly with M lenses. I do own an M9, but the old rangefinder is not suited for my kind of shooting; I get too many shots slightly out of focus. I happen to have an old R lens, a 180/2,8. I was a bit reluctant to spend money - the Novoflex adapters are expensive - on a NEX/LER adapter, when it struck me that I could get the LEM/LER instead, and use two adapters. Thanks to the high precision of the state of the art Novoflex adapters, this worked 100%
