The Heliopan 77mm UV Haze Filter is a general use, clear filter that helps to absorb ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. No additional coloration or contrast is provided, allowing you to pair this filter with others.
The UV filter is also useful as a general protective filter to leave on lenses at all times. Filters help to reduce dust and moisture from reaching your lens element and provide additional protection in case of drops or situations where scratching could occur.
This filter features a brass mounting ring that is painted matte black to help reduce reflections. High quality Schott glass provides optical clarity and greater contrast to help render scenes with greater fidelity and resolution.

Comments about Heliopan 77mm UV Haze Filter:
You can see and feel the quality built into this product. It's very thin and it is machined very well. Don't take an expensive lens and put a cheap piece of glass in front of it.

Comments about Heliopan 77mm UV Haze Filter:
I originally purchased one of these filter for my Canon 70-200mm f2.8L lens. I was so impressed with the optical quality, non binding threads, light weight and slim design I purchased another for my 100-400mm. I would definately recommend this filter to anyone who wants to protect a valuable lens.

Comments about Heliopan 77mm UV Haze Filter:
The beauty of this filter is the thinness. It is a pricey filter but considering it was 10% the price of the Nikon 10-24mm lens it protects, well worth it.
