You need this cable for your Quantum Q-Flash units if you want to do TTL on remote flash units. Quantum does not include it - you've got to order it separately.

I use this cord to connect my Q Flash T5D-R to my FW89. It connects easy, and works great. I have not had a problem yet.

I use this to power my Quantum FreeWire radios directly from my QFlash. This means that I never have to worry about replacing the FreeWire batteries and never have to worry about them going dead during a job. If the flash has power, the radio does. If the flash dies, the radio doesn't help anyway!
The plugs tend to work their way loose during travel. But, I have gotten used to checking them when setting up the lights.
