    Great Filter Screen

It is a great screen, but the clamp is TERRIBLE. It is hard to attach to anything.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:

It's an effective pop filter and well constructed. The clamps are good and it has a double screen to fulter noise. I like it.

I dinged it one star becasue although the neck can be positioned up/down/left/right, it will only do so in a fairly extended state. That is, you can't snake it to tightly and expect to retain it's postion.

The quality of the filter is good. Removes all plosives, however the goose neck has issues. Doesn't hold articulation well. However, I would buy again.

I will be using this for all things human voice. Singing, voiceovers, and metal vocals(screaming). The PS6 stops plosives and keeps the sound intact. It's very easy to get it exactly where you want it and keep it there. The gooseneck is just slightly too pliable. I definitely recommend the PS6. The transparency exceeded my expectations.

I'm not using this pop filter professionally, but I still wanted something that would last and have a high-quality feel. I am not disappointed. This filter has multiple layers of fabric, a solid flexible gooseneck, and a mounting arrangement that appears to use bronze fasteners. I feel the higher cost was well worth it, and not a waste of my hard-earned money.

I create gaming commentary videos on youtube. I use this pop filter with my Audio Technica AT2020 USB condenser microphone and it produces AMAZING quality. I hardly ever hear any pops and sizzles (S's?) anymore and I used to when I just used a pop filter that was included with my mic stand. Definitely recommend this to anyone who is serious about quality voice recordings.

The only con I can think of is the goose-neck part doesn't want to stay where you put it. Meaning it kind of springs back out straight. To fix this I have a rubber band keeping it attached to the mic stand to position it correctly.

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:

Recording without a filter and with the filter is like night and day. Without the filter the recoding is filled with the strong "P" and "S" sounds, but the filter generally eliminates those and leaves you with a cleaner sound. I strongly recommend it for anyone who likes to record music.

It effectively stops all 'b' and 'p' popping noises when recording vocals. Much better and more effective than other brands. Highly recommanded the Shure PS-6!

Comments about Shure PS-6 - Microphone Pop Filter:

This is the first pop filter I've owned, so I don't know how it compares to other types or brands. It seems like reducing plosives has at least as much to do with good technique as your pop filter. In other words, I don't know how much this reduces pops versus other filters, but don't think of it as a cure-all. It'll keep the spit off your mic though!

We use these for desktop recording of voice overs in training videos. They mount easily to the DS7E desk stand and can easily be placed for comfortable recording because of the flexible gooseneck. They make a huge difference in the voice recording and allow for very close proximity to the microphone. A must for clear and crisp recording.
