I'd give it 5 stars, but it's really expensive. But, I didn't want to go with a cheap brand because it's too important of a component in the wireless setup.

I purchased a pair of these connectors to replace the original that came with my SK100 wireless kit. I was a bit concerned with the smaller cable, fearing it would be prone to damage, or that it woudn't produce as clean a signal as the original cable did. Thus far, however, I haven't had any problems with sound quality. I imagine that only time will tell how well this holds up against heavy use, but for now, it's exactly what I needed.

All it has to do is connect the receiver to the XLR input on the camera. It does! Audio is clean.

Originally i bought a cheaper generic cable. It seemed to work fine, until i was in the middle of a job and heard some static breakup. Turns out the threaded screw connector for the mini plug had come loose. It only turned 3/4 of a turn to begin with, as opposed to the Sennheiser cable which turned two full turns. I immediately took the cheaper one back and got the Seenheiser. Not worth it to have to worry about intermittent sound. Now, i feel more secure.

It's exactly what you need when you find that your Sennheiser lav receiver needs an XLR connection instead of a mini plug. The key is the little twirlly piece on the mini plug that locks the plug in place so you won't be able to accidently "unplug" the cord while recording! I found cheaper cords at the guitar store ..... but they didn't have the locking device.

Rugged despite its simple appearance, these cables go through the rough and tumble of field production and work every time.
They don't wear out. The only time I have to replace them is when they become physically damaged (not often.)

The audio coming thru a mini isn't ideal in general; but we got this to use as backup audio for recording shotgun straight into the Canon 5D Mark II. It does its job. I'd suggest recording better audio separately into a Zoom, Marantz or other recorder but this is a good cable if you must record with a mini DV connection.

My original cable got stuck in my camera when the release button popped off and I couldn't get it off without potentially damaging the camera. I bought this as a backup to use with my Zoom recorder and it worked great.

The cable is being used as a replacement to the original connector that came with a wireless Sennheiser lav kit. So far the quality and sound is great the only concern is the cable seems a little flimsy compared to a standard mic cable, but I'm sure it will hold up to regular use . Extremely satisfied!

the 1/8 jack just snapped off. be sure to give the wireless end as much slack as possible.

Excellent replacement part. The cord is thinner, but the threaded connector is very solid. Much better than the original that gave out only after a year of moderate use.

This part is a replacement for the original cable that came with the wireless microphone. So far, this replacement part has proven far superior even to the original part. I bought two just to have a spare, but I doubt that I'm going to need the second one anytime soon!

It got the thinner flimsy cord, although I was replacing a thicker more robust cord. I plugged it in and it worked. That is what I needed.
