Comments about Rode SM2 Elastic Suspension Microphone Shock Mount:
I got this with a used NT1A and it's obviously an upgrade over the included one but it doesn't grip the body, it only uses the screw fitting on the bottom to hold the mic, but it holds well. Construction and elastic band are robust and it seems to do the job really well. I like it.

Comments about Rode SM2 Elastic Suspension Microphone Shock Mount:
A very well made shock mount, but you can't easily use it with your mic in an upside down configuration--you'll need a 90 degree extension for this. This mount only works with Rode mics.

Comments about Rode SM2 Elastic Suspension Microphone Shock Mount:
Great quality...I own the Rode NT1000 microphone and the shockmount is a perfect fit. It seems VERY solidly built, and I don't fear the mic falling at all. It is jet black and is impressive to vocalists when they come in to the studio. I like it and will own it forever...if I broke it I would get another. That goes for the NT1000 as well. Get this with confidence...

Comments about Rode SM2 Elastic Suspension Microphone Shock Mount:
It's a shock mount and does the job. Well constructed although it is molded plastic. The lock screw is handy and holds the weight of the mic no problem. Add to the mix it's only [$] and it's good for a host of mics makes it a good buy.
