A 8" square bag with a tough exterior, the Novoflex Bean Bag is great for suppressing vibrations in telephoto & macro photography by allowing the user to achieve support from irregular surfaces. The external covering is both durable and great at grabbing the camera, while the innards are lined with a waterproof coating so that you could use wet sand if needed. This beanbag is deliberately delivered empty, so that you can fill it with inexpensive beans, rice, sand, Styrofoam pellets or the like on location-saving all the weight you'd otherwise have to perpetually endure.
If you use the Arca-Swiss type system of quick release camera and/or lens plates (from Acratech, Arca-Swiss, Foba, Novoflex or Wimberley) and seek the ultimate stability upon a beanbag, you'll find it by attaching two Wimberley Module 1 quick release arms (B&H item code "WIM1") to the quick release plate.
Note! Delivered empty. Requires filling with material of user's choice.

Comments about Novoflex Bean Bag 8 x 8" - Empty:
This bean bag is well made and easy to fill.
I filled it with dried navy beans and it offers good support for my camera or the camera with a long lens.
By being zippered, one can carry this empty until at your location.

Easy to carry and keep in your camera bag. Seems a bit small and not particularly rugged. Make your own.

To small, but does work good.
This would have been good for less than half the cost. If I had not open it, I would have sent it back.
WAY OVER PRICED !

This bag is useful, but not worth the cost. There are many other items you could use in place of it that would only cost a fraction of this bag. Don't spend the money!!

This bag (empty) goes everywhere with me. The only acceptable substitute for a tripod. Carry it empty, fill it with whatever is available on the spot, use it, empty it out, and on your way again.
With a tripod and very long lenses I sometimes partially fill the bag and drape it over the lens to steady a windy shot.
You can also fill with sand or dirt and hang it under the tripod to provide a steadier platform.
Great for travel and hiking when you may be short of space or over weight and can't pack a tripod.
Carry it filled with an old shoulder strap.

Comments about Novoflex Bean Bag 8 x 8" - Empty:
A ben bag is quite useful when trying to photograph with a long lens in a place with lots of vibration (such as a ship) or when carrying a tripod is not feasible.
This Novoflex bag is quite weell done and I bought it because I needed something sturdy quickly and did not have the ability to build my own- this one fits the bill.
The downside is that it is relly expensive for what it is...
PS: do not forget you also need the beans !
