The GRAMMA Sound Isolation Riser (Gig & Recording Amplifier & Monitor Modulation Attenuator) is an incredibly effective device that's used to decouple a combo amp or loudspeaker from the floor, yielding nearly total acoustic sound isolation. The result in purity of tone is significant. An additional benefit is that the sound source, particularly a subwoofer, will no longer resonate through the floor to any space below. While it may still be heard, its effect will be severely diminished.
GRAMMA comes complete with a carrying handle, road-ready carpet, Studiofoam Wedges (underneath) and PlatFoam (underneath.) One to two GRAMMAs will support most amps, speaker cabinets, theater subwoofers and monitors. An optional GRAMMA gigbag is available.

Comments about Auralex GRAMMA Sound Isolation Riser:
I have a High-End Boutique 1X12 combo that already sounded excellent sitting on the floor in my sound room on carpet! I knew that the carpet was working against the actual tone of my amp! The GRAMMA Sound Isolation Riser really smoothed out the overall frequency response of my amp but the most instantly noticeable improvement was how accurate and tight the bass response was with my combo amp sitting on it! WOWSER! The best $ I have ever spent in my 35 years of playing guitar!

Comments about Auralex GRAMMA Sound Isolation Riser:
Bought 3 for my theater system; Sub and left & right speakers (Martin Logans). My media room is upstairs and carpeted over wood so I had a lot of boominess. There was better clarity in my speakers but the main difference was with my sub. It was already a great sounding sub (Outlaw LFM-1 EX) but was a little loose and sometimes got boomy and muddy. The GRAMMA tightened up the bass and cleaned it up nicely. I am also a guitar player but haven't had a chance to test it with my Mesa Boogie but I have no doubt it will work great.

We purchased these for our church platform - for guitar amps and floor monitors. They have made sound improvement as anticipated! Thanks!

I would highly recommend this product. It definitely made the bass from my sub in my home theater sound a lot tighter and less muddled.

Comments about Auralex GRAMMA Sound Isolation Riser:
I use the GRAMMA under my Velodyne DLS-4000R subwoofer in an apartment with paper thin walls and it significantly reduces the sub sounds from vibrating everything and annoying the neighbors easier. The subwoofer is now clearer and is useable in an apartment setting. It will definitely decouple your sub (or whatever you put it under), but it is a little pricey for a carpeted piece of wood sitting on some simple foam. I'd buy it again, but I think it's overpriced.

Seems to work pretty well for my sub. When on the floor, the house "adds" extra sound to the bass. When on this pad, the bass is cleaner and more clear. Guess it works!
