Great product agree with all the above. However it is not good with Elinchrom Quadras. The collar sits too low and the head twists in the mount.

I bought the A2030D 40 TURT C-STAND/GRIPHD/ARM KIT and this was recommended as a must-include accessory. After a few days of use, I completely agree: it gives the Avenger grip kit much more flexibility for attaching softboxes and other lighting accessories. Simple but beefy and well made.

If you use C-Stands and you should then you need this pin. If you purchased the C-Stand kit with the extension arm then this pin makes your kit much more versatile. If you do not use this pin the you will be forced to mount you light to the end of the extension rod itself. With the pin you can position your light in any position you need by placing the pin through the grip end of the extension arm. This is particularly useful if trying to get a light up high without the use of a boom or if you are using a large light modifier like and octa or strip bank that you need to angle a lot. The arm allows you to get the modifier away from the stand so it can be angled effectively. I highly recommend the use of these pins and that you purchase many so you have spares to replace the ones other photogs will pilfer from your gear.

The final link in the chain for my c-stand support system. Used to attach softbox, umbrella, Skylite panels...
Solid, heavy duty, long enough for any attachment but can be shortened in grip head for intended use.

I use these in my Mathews stands (Matthews Hollywood Century C Stand Grip Head Kit, Black - 10.5' (3.2m) ) that I also bought from B&H. Put it in the grip head at the end of the arm. Attach my ProFoto Heads and I am good to go. Much safer than using just the end of the arm (because it doesn't have a bevel to hold the light's screw. I feel much better having my expensive lights on this pin! Well worth the cashola!
