        Comments about Kodak TMX (#4052) 4x5" 50 Sheets T-Max 100 B&W Print Film (ISO-100):

I use this film with a Calumet / Cambo 4x5 view camera. The results obtained with T-Max 100 were amazing. The grain is virtually non-existent. Even using a micro site focusing scope with the enlarger, I could barely make out the grain for focusing. The images produced in the darkroom and from scanning the negatives were so sharp, I had to wear gloves to hold them! ;-) Processing the film is easy and forgiving. I used to use Tri-X but now T-Max 100 is my favorite.

              Comments about Kodak TMX (#4052) 4x5" 50 Sheets T-Max 100 B&W Print Film (ISO-100):

I've been using Kodak's TMX for 15 years, and have never felt the need to try anything else. Although I transitioned to digital a few years ago, I still stick with using TMX for very high-res quality of the scans that are produced from the film; I tend to print large 30x30" prints on an Epson. I can only hope that TMX will continue to be around for years to come.

I use TMX for landscape photography in 4x5 and 6x7 format. Excellent quality film with outstanding reciprocity characteristics. Be aware that this film requires fresh fixer and hypo clear, or a magenta tint may result.

I've always relied on T-MAX film by Kodak and although being just about completely digital, it's always nice to be able to rely on the consistency of this product. I haven't used my 4x5 in about 10 years but it was just like riding a bicycle, it all came back to me. As far as the T-MAX goes, the 100-ISO tight grain structure always make for crisp, detailed images that look flawless.

This is incredibly sharp and accurate film. It has great latitude and tones. I shoot it almost exclusively when doing any b&w 4x5 work. It develops nice and scans well.

I've used this emulsion since the 80's in every format possible. It's my default film when I need something to work the first time. Fine grain, easy handling, and a snappy yellow box to download film into.

I use both T-Max 100 and Tri-X 320 4x5 film. Both are fantastic, and are quite different. T-Max 100 provides incredible image quality, super smooth tone gradations, and looks great when pushed to ISO 400. There is not much to say, other than this is my go-to film for 4x5, and 120, and 35mm. I love it!

This is the best of the fine grain films still extent for 4x5 folks like myself. Not only is it great at normal speeds but it also has a very well behaved reciprocity curve when I want to use it for my pinhole work (f256++). Consistent from batch to batch. Only thing to be aware of is that you need to be very accurate on developing times & temps if you want reproducible results.

I've used 35mm TMX for a while now and while I think I've heard that the exact emulsion has changed a little bit, I still find it a great film. I don't run extensive tests to get every negative developed exactly the same and all that, but since I've started using TMX instead of Fuji Acros, I feel like my photos and prints have noticeably better "pop." The contrast has been more pleasing and while I may have just improved my processing habits, I feel like I have less scratches, more pleasing contrast, and it seems like the film is more forgiving for tray processing than the Fuji.

I'm currently developing this film with D-76, though I might switch to TMax developer when I run out of D-76...maybe not.

I started with the Fuji first because it was available in packs of 10, but if you plan on photographing a decent amount of 4x5, I'd suggest just going with this larger pack of Kodak TMX.
