Comments about Ilford HP5 Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 24 Exposures):

I used this product for a college intro to black and white film photography class. The film is good - but definitely only useable for everyday shooting. I'd like the colors to be sharper.

Comments about Ilford HP5 Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 24 Exposures):

I have decided to run through a roll of HP5+ before I commit to bulk loading. I am happen with the way this film handles processing, doesn't curl as much as Tri-x after processing. With that said, I have found the the images created feels a little flat, and not as contrasty as tri-x, but grain was definitely smaller. I developed the roll using Ilfosol 3(1:9) and the other D76 (stock). Overall, Good film that scans well

Comments about Ilford HP5 Plus Black and White Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 24 Exposures):

I'm a photography student using this film for an advanced darkroom class, where we develop our own negatives. With the exception of a single dark strip across one negative (which may well have been my error while developing) this film is beautiful. I previously have used XP-2 Super, which I prefer, but cannot use in class as we don't have the chemistry to develop it ourselves. Understanding that the XP-2 is color film, we only printed in black and white.

Either way, this film is quite good for the price. I've had difficulty getting the contrast level I like out of it without destroying the detail, however, but I'll still buy it again and again as long as I need to.

I had not shot film for a few years and was a bit apprehensive in buying again. I went back to college to brush up on some of my skills and keep my skills sharp. I bought this for the Photography class I enrolled to take. Film was provided but I knew I would need more and it was convenient to have my own on hand. I love this film!! It produced quality shots, shows crisp clean details and is fairly simple to develop. All-around one of the best films I have tried so far. Although I use digital I still like my film. It had encouraged me to to start a darkroom again since making some changes in my life in the past few years. It has also sparked interest with my young adult :-)
