I purchased a Sharx Security VIPcella-IR SCNC2700 wireless IP camera for our facility. We need quick mobile monitoring where a normal mounting system would never work. So I purchased this tripod in hopes our IP Camera would fit...and guess what? It did! It worked PERFECTLY for our problem. The tripod itself folds up very nice and tight, and again works great for a mobile solution. And given the price, this is a outstanding deal!

It also came with a case. The triod fits in it just fine. It doesn't fit with our IP camera attached.. which is a given, but I wish it did for mobility sakes. But we just leave it hang out the top which is not bad either.

Overall I reccomend this. If you have a heavy camera however...keep in mind this stand is quite light. A IP Camera is light, so I have no problem with it. The shipping was a little expensive..but overall worth it.

Useful for taking pictures at night, for panoramas or for that "tack sharp" landscape picture you always wanted to have.
The quality of the product is medium (average). Good things about it are the price, stability and the fact that you have it "up and running" very quick. The bad ones are that it is kind of heavy and does not have that professional look and construction if you analize the joints and bindings.
Its low height doesn't make it very good for portraits of standing people because it limits your image composition since you can not take a picture at the eye level of the subject.
Other than that it does its job very good especially when you consider its low price.

Comments about Sunpak 2001UT Photo/Video Tripod:

I needed a sturdy but light tripod to attach to my plein air easel board. This works very well, holding the board & palette firmly. Legs locks hold well & are not flimsy. It also came with a second quick release piece, so I may make a second, larger easel or just use it for a camera. Very convenient. The price was better than the art site's quote & delivery was speedy. It's light & fits comfortably in my art backpack.

Comments about Sunpak 2001UT Photo/Video Tripod:

I needed a knock around tripod. The price from B&H is fantastic, and the lack of really bad reviews sold me. Seems to be decently well made, and the tilt head goes all the way past 90 degrees.

It is very easy to set up and extend, and it does not take up too much floor space.

Of course that is because it is just 5 ft tall. Guess I missed that, but for what I need it'll do just fine.

Comments about Sunpak 2001UT Photo/Video Tripod:

A tripod has 3 adjustable legs and so this does. For a rather small price you get a product that will work well in most cases. It won't hold the heavier cameras but for most digitals this is more than enough support. Hey I bought 2 for day in day out use.

I bought this for my t5i, it sits at my office with the camera all day with no problems. It's cheap and it works for now. I don't ever take it outside so I don't know if it holds up for moving around a lot.

This is a sturdy budget tripod with a couple of shortcomings:

                            1) It's short (~4ft tall) so keep that in mind.

                            2) The head can be tilted to the right to allow for portrait shots, but at its left-most position it unfortunately is not level.

If you're a professional, this obviously isn't the tripod for you. But it is lightweight, sturdy, adjustable in as many ways as most people will need it to be, and it's affordable. It came with a free carrying case when I ordered it, which made this a great deal at less than $[$]. It will work great for indoor sessions, which is where I do most of my shooting.

Comments about Sunpak 2001UT Photo/Video Tripod:

I just returned from a 12-day African safari in Tanzania, and I captured the adventure in more than 3000 photos. A tripod is absolutely essential in creating great shots, and the Sunpack 2001UT Tripod fit the bill on my trip. It is lightweight, came with a shoulder-slung case, easily-adjustable with a wide variety of heights, and quick to set up, and also allowed for great video. It also allowed me to be in the pictures with my friends when no one was around to take our photo. I would set up my camera on the tripod, focus, and then set the timer. I was 100% satisfied.

I use the product for random snapshots of friends and family and it works great. It is high quality for a great price! It is a little hard to get your camera mounted on but besides that it is excellent!

The tripod will stand up. That's cool. Aside from that, it's not great. It crinks and cracks as you try to pan or tilt.

Comments about Sunpak 2001UT Photo/Video Tripod:

I was willing to pay more than double the price of this tripod but this unit had everything I needed. My chief concern was the smoothness of the head because it was being used as a backup for video. Although not as good as a much more expensive tripod, it was quite acceptable. Build quality is good. Judging by its price you would assume it is much more cheaply made. I couldn't imagine a better value for your money!

This tripod does what its supposed to, keeps a camera nice in steady and keeps everything nice and secure. I'm really pleased with the leg brace lock in the middle just to be sure nothing moves.
