After purchasing a 4th lens for my Sony A100, I found I could no longer cram all of my gear into my tiny Sony camera bag. An upgrade was needed, and after researching what was available I settled on the Canon 200EG. It's certainly big enough - I have the camera and 4 lenses in there and still have room for another couple of lenses (in the unlikely event that my wife lets me buy more lenses). As well as camera/lens space, it also has a pocket each side for filters, a strap each side for tripod type stuff, 3 tiny pockets inside for memory cards, and space in two zippered door pockets for chargers, cleaning gear etc. You could probably find a more sturdy case if price isn't so much an issue, but this bag is built quite well, is well padded, and is light enough for me to take on hikes. It's not 'check-in luggage' sturdy, but I'd bet if it fell off of a table my gear would be fine. The next closest thing I found was double that price.

A great price for a name-brand back-pack. Comfortable main shoulder harnesses; perhaps too many dangling straps (I removed 2 and plan on removing additional straps). Color is ok (though I would have preferred black or red).

Easy to move the compartments around for a custom fit. I wish that the top of the pack had more padding for the camera itself and it seems like there should be a cushion to protect the LCD (it's close to the zipper). All that money on a camera, want to be certain to protect it.

Lots of room for additional accessories. I have the T2i and standard lens, additional lens, flash, cords, cards, etc. with plenty of room to spare. When loaded, the pack seems heavier than a side bag. Would love this if it was a side/shoulder sling (again, too many straps). Perhaps it's made more for rough hiking, but padding doesn't seem appropriate for that. Never used the 2 straps across the chest (more dangling straps) and do we REALLY need 2 shoulder straps, a strap across your chest AND a strap across the waist?

Have found that the tripod/monopod straps under the bag(s) (also on the Canon T1i kit bag) make carrying through doorways and public places cumbersome, not to mention noisy when setting bags down . Full bag weight is on the only unprotected equipment (hope your not fond of that new monopod, because it will take a beating). I left mine home and removed the straps. Bag looks and feels cleaner.

Was hoping the bag was a bit smaller for run-and-go. Bag would be REALLY heavy if I purchase additional equipment.

Had no use for the outside cargo straps (maybe someone could put a rain poncho here)? Cell phone fits nicely in the side pocket and is easily accessible. Small pockets for SD are nice, but I like to keep mine in plastic protective sleeves (these won't fit), so they are pretty but not useful.

Top carrying handle is nice and I find myself using it frequently.

Would love the bag, if it had the camera in a separate, easily accessible compartment. If I unzip the bag from the top, I need to be careful not to unzip too far, as the equipment will fall out. You can avoid this by just setting bag down horizontally, but that isn't always easy or clean, especially in public places. Would be great to have the bottom and back water-resistant for such instances.

I know, a lot of griping, but for the price, it is a great bag. I would probably have preferred a $100 bag, but this fits the bill for the price. Can always use with our video camera equipment when I tire of this one.

I needed a backpack for a low profile and convenient way to hike and have all the necessary cameras, lenses and gear needed to take photos and video. With all the above, there is still room for a tablet, phone, journal....more then I imagined.

      Spacious, padded, good construction.

A must have in my opinion.

I needed a bag to take hiking or biking on the trails. Something comfortable, sturdy and protective. This backpack offers all of the features that I was looking for and more. Build quality is what one should expect from a Canon product and in my experience is a great value for the price range.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I spent 3 weeks walking around with my heavy camera gear carried in the ThinkTank Retrospective 20. The ThinkTank bag is great, but my shoulders couldn't carry the load. I love my Kata R-102 backpack and have always used it for airplan carry on, and I find it comfortable to wear, but it doesn't have the storage advantages of the Canon bag. I am hopeful that I can figure out how add some extra padding on the straps as they do seem a bit hard. My equipment fits very well in the bag, and the extra places for storing little things is just what I was looking for. I don't mind the problem of changing lenses with a backpack since with my 75 years I need to sit down to change them anyway.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I recently bought a new Canon 7D and it wouldn't fit in my old bag with another lens like my T3i does. I bought this bag to carry both cameras plus a couple extra lenses and a flash. I even got room for my iPad and a couple other things in the front pocket. This an excellent bag especially for the price. Plus it has the attachments on the side and bottom to Carry tripods or whatever else you need. I highly recommend this bag to anyone who needs a new camera bag. I love mine!!

I've used this backpack multiple times since buying and have been nothing short of impressed. I have 2 cameras, 2 lenses and a gopro and it fits all comfortably.

One thing I really like about this is the quality. You can tell it is made with quality material and is durable through a day of shooting. It keeps it's form so you know its not collapsing/crushing your lenses.

Plus there are plenty of side pockets for miscellaneous items!

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

One would expect that anything that Canon puts its name onto should be of good quality, and the same goes for Nikon, Pentax, Olympus, Leica, etc.
This backpack succeeds at a remarkably low pricepoint, too.Don't expect the quality of a high-end pack, but it will do fine for casual strolling in the woods. Most of the padding is well-positioned, the dividers are plentiful but small lenses have more depth space than they need. straps are also plentiful but they can be customized or eliminated as you wish. Wipe the paint ed-on logo off and you have an attractive pack that doesn't scream "Camera Inside!".
                  Altogether a good deal.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I have owned one of these for over 8 years. It has held up very well. It has been to numerous baseball games, ocean, mountains, hiking on trails and many other places. It has been rained on, snowed on, covered in dust and everything else and still looks pretty good considering the mileage it has had (other than some fading). I just now started to have a minor problem with a zipper pull coming loose (no big deal and an easy fix). I am going to be purchasing a second one (mainly because mine is looking well "used"). The only "Con" I have about this bag, and it is small, is the zippers tend to come open on the main area. I easily remedied this by putting a small carbineer through the zipper pulls so they can't pull away from each other. Other that than, fabulous bag and well worth the money.

Plenty of room and pockets. I have 4 lenses, my camera body, and a flash stored in the main pocket, and there is still room! It even has pockets for your SD memory cards! Very durable and quality material.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

Since I travel a lot and am tired of carrying my camera equipment in a wonderful but ungainly camera bag, it was suggested I add a camera back pack. This Canon back pack is ideal for the camera enthusiast. Firstly it is inexpensive selling for many dollars less than other backpacks. Secondly it hold a lot of stuff. I put in 2 bodies, 2 lenses(one a large telephoto zoom), hoods, chargers, flash and media. There was room for more. You can reconfigure the interior any way you want with Velcro inserts. And being a backpack you can walk to a plane or anywhere comfortably. A real winner
