After purchasing a 4th lens for my Sony A100, I found I could no longer cram all of my gear into my tiny Sony camera bag. An upgrade was needed, and after researching what was available I settled on the Canon 200EG. It's certainly big enough - I have the camera and 4 lenses in there and still have room for another couple of lenses (in the unlikely event that my wife lets me buy more lenses). As well as camera/lens space, it also has a pocket each side for filters, a strap each side for tripod type stuff, 3 tiny pockets inside for memory cards, and space in two zippered door pockets for chargers, cleaning gear etc. You could probably find a more sturdy case if price isn't so much an issue, but this bag is built quite well, is well padded, and is light enough for me to take on hikes. It's not 'check-in luggage' sturdy, but I'd bet if it fell off of a table my gear would be fine. The next closest thing I found was double that price.

A great price for a name-brand back-pack. Comfortable main shoulder harnesses; perhaps too many dangling straps (I removed 2 and plan on removing additional straps). Color is ok (though I would have preferred black or red).

Easy to move the compartments around for a custom fit. I wish that the top of the pack had more padding for the camera itself and it seems like there should be a cushion to protect the LCD (it's close to the zipper). All that money on a camera, want to be certain to protect it.

Lots of room for additional accessories. I have the T2i and standard lens, additional lens, flash, cords, cards, etc. with plenty of room to spare. When loaded, the pack seems heavier than a side bag. Would love this if it was a side/shoulder sling (again, too many straps). Perhaps it's made more for rough hiking, but padding doesn't seem appropriate for that. Never used the 2 straps across the chest (more dangling straps) and do we REALLY need 2 shoulder straps, a strap across your chest AND a strap across the waist?

Have found that the tripod/monopod straps under the bag(s) (also on the Canon T1i kit bag) make carrying through doorways and public places cumbersome, not to mention noisy when setting bags down . Full bag weight is on the only unprotected equipment (hope your not fond of that new monopod, because it will take a beating). I left mine home and removed the straps. Bag looks and feels cleaner.

Was hoping the bag was a bit smaller for run-and-go. Bag would be REALLY heavy if I purchase additional equipment.

Had no use for the outside cargo straps (maybe someone could put a rain poncho here)? Cell phone fits nicely in the side pocket and is easily accessible. Small pockets for SD are nice, but I like to keep mine in plastic protective sleeves (these won't fit), so they are pretty but not useful.

Top carrying handle is nice and I find myself using it frequently.

Would love the bag, if it had the camera in a separate, easily accessible compartment. If I unzip the bag from the top, I need to be careful not to unzip too far, as the equipment will fall out. You can avoid this by just setting bag down horizontally, but that isn't always easy or clean, especially in public places. Would be great to have the bottom and back water-resistant for such instances.

I know, a lot of griping, but for the price, it is a great bag. I would probably have preferred a $100 bag, but this fits the bill for the price. Can always use with our video camera equipment when I tire of this one.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I must have 10 or 12 of these to store my lenses. I admit that I don't use them as backpacks because I a big guy and the straps are too small. However I use them to store the lenses by lens categories and then carry that category to my car so I know I have all my lenses of that category with me. I also like the two outside zippered compartments for filters and other accessories. For the price I haven't found better.

I use this backpack to carry everything I need for my Canon T4i including the camera body, three lenses, two batteries, filters, spare SD cards, and other equipment. I have nothing negative to say about this backpack. It is so much more convenient than the case I was using.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

    >>>that would be my rating. I already own two other backpacks, two shoulder messenger bags, and a holster case. All have certain plus and minus points. This is the first one that has exactly what I need. I shoot a lot of landscapes, night landscapes, long exposure, star/milky way images in addition to "normal" stuff. I shoot a Nikon D5500 with a 35mm/f:1.8 lens, a Tokina 11-16mm/f:2.8, in addition to the 18-55mm and 55-200mm kit lenses. I sometimes carry a slave strobe and almost always a tripod, so I need some room. My other backpacks had the room for that stuff, but where they fell short was room for all the other items. I suppose my style has a lot to do with it, but I like to group accessories needed for a specific task together in a pouch. An example for long exposure would be wired remote, wireless remote, ND filters, variable ND filter, eyepiece cover, etc. Sky work, same things only NDs not needed. Cleaning supplies together, etc. All my other cases forced me to just assemble groups in ziploc bags as they either had too few pouches or they were laid out in a manor which was not conducive to my carrying style.Yes, I do realize I am a bit OCD about this... Also there are outside straps galore for tripods, jackets, etc. The only "negative" is the Canon logo, but I already took care of that with a Nikon patch...:-)

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

My 1980 Domke bag got filled up, and the Canon 200EG is a good companion. I've been able to pack it with two bodies (Canon 5D and 6D), two L lenses, a 580EX II flash, an iPad mini and still had room to spare. Inside pockets are good for memory cards, batteries and filters. It feels well-padded and well-made. Bottom straps can carry a modern lightweight tripod but not my Leitz Tiltall. If it lasts as long as my Domke, it probably will outlast me.

This backpack arrived on time and was way better than i expected. It had more than enough space to fit both of my DSLR's along with plenty of lens . The extra compartents are great for storing memory cards and chargers, and its not a big bulky bag so its fashionable.

I have a camera bag, but wanted something that was easier to carry when walking around. This bag is very comfortable, especially when using the front straps to hold it in place. Much of the time, I use it was a sling pack so I can get to my camera quickly. The bag is very roomy, even though it looks small from the outside. In the re-arrangeable sections I have a 70D with the 18-135mm lens, a 100-300mm lens, a 50mm f1/4 lens, a 430EX Speedlite, a diffuser for the Speedlite and the hoods for all three lenses. In other parts of the bag I have the battery charger for the Speedlite rechargeable batteries, the battery charger for the 70D battery, an extra battery for the 70D, the manuals for the camera and speedily, and a small tripod. There are tripod straps underneath the bag, but I carry my large tripod in its own carrying bag. I have found this bag to be very good, especially when you look at the price.

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I recently bought this bag and I'll try to make this as simple as possible

            PROS
            - Lots of room to fit more than 1 camera, lenses, flash
            - Many different compartments for great organization
            - Slots for your memory cards
            - Holds tripod
            - buckles around your body
            - Lots of zippers for better protections & no lost items
            - You can even put things like snacks (if you're on a long photography gig) or even passports (if you're traveling)

            CONS
            - the buckles can be a bit excessive if you aren't one to use them
            - the shoulder straps could use better padding, they're a bit hard, softer padding would've made this bag AMAZING!
            - You don't have color options
            - doesn't come with a waterproof protection bag or anything of the sort

Comments about Canon Deluxe Backpack 200 EG:

I work in corporate communications and was recently tasked with building "video go-kits" for my colleagues. These needed to be lightweight and easy to use. I bought this bag mostly on the dimensions and the price. In this bag I'm able to fit an iPad2 Air (outfitted with an iOgrapher case), plus a shotgun mic, lav mic, hand held mic with mic flag, misc cables, on-camera light, and a lightweight Manfrotto tripod. I put the tripod on the side... by tucking the small pouch flap inside the pocket (so the bottom of the tripod legs fits nicely inside), then secure the upper portion of the tripod with the adjustable strap loop. I appreciate that these straps don't slip/come loose. Still have room to add more accessories too! I could easily fit a dslr size camera and single lens in her too.

It is waterproof with flaps over the zippers so I feel confident my equipment will stay dry. I haven't found any negatives yet with this backpack, it is heavy duty material with all the dividers I need for my equipment. Very happy with this unit.

Attractive and durable, this backpack fits enough for a run and gun shoot. Fits comfortably and everything stays stable inside with the velcro dividers.

The only draw back is the cheap waist strap which doesn't add much support, and the chest straps fall down the shoulder straps often as they aren't attached at a fixed point.

                Other than that, great product.

Fits SLR body, 3 lens, plus other equipment very easily. plenty of compartments and sturdy as well as water-proof. Great value, cost for lesser quality is out there but this bag is worth it.

This camera bag is just the right size for my Camera Equipment. I have four lenses, a camera body and on-camera flash unit. There is room for all of this and my charger, SD cards, filters and additional odds and ends.

I heard a lot of negative reviews regarding this backpack but decided to try it anyways, and am glad I did. The shoulder straps are perhaps a bit uncomfortable. The Price is great. The material is quality. lots of padding to protect my gear. But what I like most is, its not a bulky pack, but still able to hold my 70D, 24-105mm, and my 100-400mm, and all my other gear comfortably.
