I use this product in my Canon dye sub Selphy CP730 printer and love it for its compactness, ease of replacement, its vibrant color and especially for the ability to handle a print immediately after printing. No messy residues on the print or the printer. An added plus is the protective coating the print media places over the print itself upon completing a print. This printer with dye sub media can also crop as well as print B & W, Sepia, and in vivid tones. This printer & its media can be easily trans-ported and is great for previewing any digital shots in the field that are of particular interest. Also great for spontaneous gifts of snapshots to subjects while in the field. Tho not as cheap as a corner drugstores 4 x 6's neither is it extremely expensive and the added convenience and immedient availability make the added cost well worth it. My only complaint is lack of a counter of some sort to indicate when the media is about to be exhausted. I use this printer and dye sub media often.

Good color reproduction, especially after experimenting with some color profiles in PS. Do notice dots or small 'splotches' of single color from time to time. This could be dust that the dye sticks to after loading or something else within the product. Overall I'm happy with the quality color outputs and lifetime of the print, but not with the limited paper sizes or style options (based on my printer.) Guess you can get those options with the more expensive dye sub printers. Be sure to check your printer setup when using these specific sizes.....waisting the ribbon on bad print sizing can be frustrating and expensive.

Printed up my first postcards last evening in Australia!!! Selphy CP800, paper and ink worked beautifully after surviving the 28 hour trip in my carry-on bag from New York to Sydney. Even on this baby printer, the Canon colors come through so my friends back home can enjoy the lovely water color of Sydney Harbour and the brilliant plumage of the native parrots! Just love it!

General printing,and printing of special effects
pix for collage.
Paper thinner than Sony SVM.
Will not "fully" print images that are "painted"
using Sony DPP-E5,which is understandable.
B+W and Sepia images good.

Comments about Canon KP-36IP Color Ink & Paper Set (4x6" paper, 36 sheets):
I use this in my Selphy CP900. It's an easy and reliable product that you aren't ever going between having not enough paper and not enough ink. Dye Sub makes great tones and durable images but it is not the sharpest image, there's a slight subtle dreaminess to it, but overall they're great pictures. This is a wonderful product.

Comments about Canon KP-36IP Color Ink & Paper Set (4x6" paper, 36 sheets):
Canon's Selphy printer uses the KP-36LP for prints by thermal transfer. Each print gets a clear Plastic overcoat that gives protection from moisture and fingerprints. This feature is not available from a regular dye printer. The quality of the 4X6 prints look professional. The prints are durable enough to take handling from the Post Office, and the back of the print is set up for mailing. Kodak was charging $ for a 40 print set, while Canon has lowered the price to $ for 36 prints. That's hard to beat considering inflation. I have not received any negative comments from anyone who has gotten a print from me. But,I have rave's from people who watch the print materialize in front of them, out of the Selphy 900. Sets are available from B&H Photo, so they are delivered to my door with their usual great service.

I use the ink and paper in my little printer. When we do family camping trips, the last day of each campout our grandkids make a 12"x 12" page of their trip, we print pictures to add to their art projects. They look forward to making their page every campout. I have a scrapbook of all the pages they have done. Its fun for all to look back on what we did on each camping trip.

I use this ink and paper to quick print snapshots taken on my Canon S90. It's great. The prints are sharp and the color is accurate. I can also use it post Photoshop by saving the edited prints to an SD card & printing from that.
If you're looking for a way to quickly make 4x6 prints, this is your system.
