Ilford Ilfotol is a non-ionic wetting agent used as a final rinse before drying films.

Ilfotol can be used in all manual and machine processes to aid rapid, even drying and so greatly reduce the risk of drying marks being formed.

Ilfotol can also be used as a final rinse before drying fibre based prints, again it promotes rapid, even drying. Additionally it can be used to clean glass and plastic lenses and filters and as an anti-static treatment.

Comments about Ilford Ilfotol Wetting Agent (Liquid):

I use the wetting agent for both paper and film. I use to use Kodak photo flow but have switched. I was getting water marks left with Photo flow and that no longer happens

Comments about Ilford Ilfotol Wetting Agent (Liquid):

It really works perfect. I live in a location with a very high humidity and it makes more difficult the drying process. With this product I have the solution.
With only a few drops it works perfectly.
          Thanks!

I process between 8 and 10 rolls of film per month, and I have been doing so for about five years...and in all that time I have not once had my negatives blemished with water spots. After a five minute wash (Paterson tank), I pour off an inch or so of water, drop in a tiny amount of Ilfotol, then grasp the roll and give it a few vigorous shakes (until it "suds"). I then take out the plastic roll, and sharply shake off excess water (50 shakes). Finally I unroll the film, and hang it to air dry. Again, never a water-blemished negative.

This stuff rocks. I use this after I've rinsed the film -- add the recommended amount to your last tankful of water in the film tank. I no longer use any kind of squeegee or sponge on my film -- just rinse with Ilfotol and let it drip dry. My negatives dry out clean with no water spotting. One bottle lasts forever because you only use a few drops with each roll of film.
