We are using this to connect a DBX 25 pin snake to the inputs of another snake feeding another mixer for our live stream. THESE THINGS WORK LIKE A CHARM. Great product that made our life so much easier.

Nice product and does what it's suppose to do. I wish it's a little bit smaller.

This XLR adapter does NOT fit properly into the XLR sockets on my SONY HXR-NX5U professional camcorder. Takes pressure to get them (I'd bought 2) in, and takes a struggle afterward to get them out.

Fast to deliver and solved a balanced mic issue with my tascam. I would recommend it.

Comments about Hosa Technology GXJ235 Stereo 1/4" Phone to 3-Pin XLR Adapter:

I bought a pair of these adapters to allow me to plug 1/4 inch cables into my DR-100MKII portable digital recorder.

I may as well start out with the few things I find nice about this adapter.

Firstly, it's solid build. Not a good quality build, mind you, but a solid build. I wouldn't feel bad letting a truck run over these things. I wouldn't care either way if they survived, but I think they would.

Secondly, they're light. Very light. So light they feel cheap. And behold! They are, in fact, cheap.

I always (ALWAYS) regret getting the cheapest adapters available, and I hope this purchase makes me learn my lesson once and for all.

My first disappointment was realizing that there were no slots on the XLR end for the locking clips, so the adapters can fall out if I hold the recorder wrong.
It was my fault for not paying attention, but I couldn't imagine why they wouldn't have added a slit in the XLR tip. It seems so simple.
That was a disappointment, but I didn't have to worry about it for long. See, having your adapters fall out isn't even something you have to worry about if they won't fit into your device to begin with. One fit quite nicely, the other one had a bent pin. I managed to bend the pin back using a screwdriver (and a great deal of force), but it still did not fit well. Closer examination revealed that the tip of the bent pin was flat, not round. I'm not sure whether I should try filing the sharp edges of that pin, or just throw the adapter away. As-is, I don't want to destroy the XLR jack on my expensive digital recorder for the sake of a cheap adapter.

Hopefully this will be the last time I buy audio adapters from the bottom of the price stack. Or maybe I could just buy a few extra to make sure I get enough that work.
              ...
No, that's a really bad idea.

I used this adapter for inputing a signal to my power amp. The amp normally takes a XLR input, but the signal coming out of my powered mixer, did not have this connection.
                    This adapter did the trick!
