Comments about Sennheiser CL1 Mini to Mini Cable for EK100:

This cable is needed to connect Sennheiser wireless mic body packs to cameras that do not support XLR inputs. The twist on connectors secure the cable so it won't come unplugged during a shot.

Comments about Sennheiser CL1 Mini to Mini Cable for EK100:

This cable is the thing I needed to connect the Sennheiser wireless receiver unit to my camera. The kit came with a mini-to-mini cable when I bought it (from an individual seller), but that cable wasn't original, and lacked the threaded end and the 90 degree end, both of which are very useful.

This cable is the right length for most setups with the Sennheiser wireless, and the added security of being able to screw it into the port is extremely useful -- one less thing that can go wrong while shooting.

Why only 4 stars? Because the price seems too high for what it is: a short bit of audio cable. Minus one star for price gouging.

Comments about Sennheiser CL1 Mini to Mini Cable for EK100:

I couldn't find this cable for my G100 series Sennheiser wireless receiver and thought I would just use a regular 1/8 male to male cable. Doesn't work! The locking ring pulls the connector in securely which means that ordinary 1/8 cables don't seat well enough to make a secure connection! I had to use the XLR cable to a mixer and come out of the mixer's headphone output to my Canon GL2. Very inconvenient. After I bought this cable I found my original one, but that's great because you'll want a spare since this cable is so crucial to prosumer cameras with 1/8 inch inputs!

Excellent sound quality. Needed to replace my old cable after a year of fairly heavy abuse by interns and talent. Pretty durable.

Comments about Sennheiser CL1 Mini to Mini Cable for EK100:

I thought of this little mini-Jack cable as just a nod to consumer cameras and when a friend borrowed my Sennheiser wireless lav kit and lost this cable, I didn't think I'd miss it--till I was fooling with a pre-amp/mixer one day and realized that the little mini-Jack cable could free up an XLR input for the boom or another XLR mic. The screw lock is so distinctive I don't know how anyone could forget seeing/having it, and it's also very important if the camera or sound person puts that receiver in a pocket or hooks it to a belt! A mini-Jack cable seems minor as equipment goes, but I got the actual replacement part because it's the overlooked details that mess you up on a shoot.

I like this cable because it's stereo and it's got lock on the end. I'm using my reciever a lot and jack whears out really quickly with out lock. With lock it will last long time and i'm aving $300 for new reciever.
