This is a fine wire. One end plugs into the camera and the other end plugs into the computer. It is very easy to plug in. It also comes in a nice, durable little box, so it is easy to store. Buyers are advised to attach a label stating that the wire contains lead and the buyer should wash hands after handling it. The label is conveniently printed so the message will appear on both sides when it is folded in half. Buyers in California are especially advised to use the label.

I use this cable when tethering my Nikon D3100 to a notebook computer to take photos of manufacturing assembly procedures in a software package (Lockstep) that imports photos taken "live" while tethered to the computer while writing assembly steps. Works well. I only wish it was a little longer for my application.
