Comments about Studio 1 Productions XLR-BP Pro - Belt Clip XLR Adapter with:

I have a sony FX-1E camera which only has a 3.5mm mic input - i have used the camera successfully for single interviews using a sennheiser ENG mic kit (radio mic set) but now need two mic input. The XLR-BP has proven just the right product for me as it gives me two xlr inputs - sound is fantastic and I can alter either channel in the box itself. I have purchased a new mic with xlr cable for second interview subject, and continue to use the radio mic (the receiver just plugs into the XLR-BP box). Simple, elegant and cost effective way of solving the problem!!

Highly recommend this product to anyone who needs two xlr inputs to a single 3.5mm mic input.

Comments about Studio 1 Productions XLR-BP Pro - Belt Clip XLR Adapter with:

I had to laugh with the guy comparing the XLR BP Pro adapter to a zoom. The Zoom he is talking about is a recorder. The XLR BP Pro is an audio adapter for connecting Pro microphones to a video camera that only has 1/8" mic jacks. I have own the XLR BP Pro for about a year now and it has never let me down. Good clean audio everytime.

This does a great job for connecting XLR microphones to a video camera that only has a 1/8" mic jack. I have been using it for several months now, works perfectly everytime. I like the fact that I can belt clip it to me to keep the unit and cables off of the video camera.

I purchased this from B & H about 5 months ago. Have been using almost every week since then. Works weill, does a great job in converting XLR to 1/8" with no signal loss. I especially like the 1/4" and 1/8" inputs, as I've had to plug in all types of audio inputs into this box.

I make movies frequently as part of an indie film company, but I'm working with a consumer so there is no XLR input for an external microphone. Couple my camera with this and it works perfectly. I love the belt clip because it doesn't pull on the camera. If the boom operator has to walk with the pole and pulls on the cable, it puts stress on my leg, not the camera itself like some other camera mounted versions.

Comments about Studio 1 Productions XLR-BP Pro - Belt Clip XLR Adapter with:

This product is pretty much exactly as it states. Very solid, clean build and sound. My only complaints are the mounting system, belt clip is a little odd and mounting to tripod required third party velcro, etc. Will not accept stereo inputs in 1/4 or 1/8 inputs . . . not even a mono feed through a stereo wire, annoying. Otherwise, works perfectly, sound is clean and very nice, does a good job balancing levels against cameras built in AGC. Definitely recommend compared to BeachTek and others, especially for what you get (price)!!
