The Audio-Technica Right Angle AT8314 Premium Microphone Cable features professional XLR-male to XLR-female Neutrik connectors and is designed specifically for low-impedance microphone signals. The cable is sure to deliver maximum signal transfer and minimum loss due to a combination of its heavy-duty construction, inner and outer protective RF shielding and heavy-duty 24-gauge stranded copper conductors.
Note! The Audio-Technica AT8314 Premium Microphone Cables are intended for low-impedance microphone use. Use only AT8314 series (or like wired) cables when extending multiple XLR cables to avoid phasing issues, signal cancellation and other artifacts.

I'm not sure what you can say about a cable either it doesn't work or it does, but that probably says more about my experience in audio than anything. In spite or an earlier review that said the cable doesn't work lock with the Rode NTG-2. I can understand the reviewers frustration as it is a snug fit. When attaching it to the the NTG-2, it can be locked in by applying a little extra pressure to the edge that has the locking tabs by pulling the angled part of the adapter back away from the the microphone. Put your thumb on the outside of the elbow and pull from the bottom as if you were trying to straighten out the 90-degree elbow. (Sorry it's kind of difficult to explain)

I was using this cable to connect my shotgun mic to my Soy Z1U and the cable was too long so I had to wrap it around the handle of the camera to keep it out of the way. I also wish both connections were 90 degree connection. That would have permitted easier loading and unloading into the camera case.
I think I'll spend a little more and get the coiled cord next and see if that's an improvement.
Pros: it is sturdily built and did the job.
