Novoflex QPL-1 Arca-Type Quick Release Plate for Q-Base System, 1.7" Long - with 1/4-20" Screw

B&H # NOQPL1 Mfr # QPL 1
You Pay: $59.95

The Novoflex Q=Plate series QPL-1 square quick release plate fits any Arca-type quick release system (except the Arca Swiss Flip-Lock). It features a 1/4"-20 camera screw, on a 1.65" square plate that can slip in from any direction.

The bottom edges are dovetailed for smoother loading and unloading from the clamp, as well as less abrasions. The screws of the Novoflex plates work with both traditional flathead screwdrivers as well as 5/32" Allen wrenches.

Note! The Novoflex Arca-type quick release plates are thinner by the slimmest of margins than Arca-Swiss quick release plates. They are not recommended for use in the Arca-Swiss Flip-Lock quick release clamp.

A finely machined plate for Arca-type quick release clamps.
Q=Plates use the special safety pin of the Q=Base, to prevent the plates from slipping out of the base.

Comments about Novoflex Quick Release Plate for Q-Base System, 1.7":

This is the only plate I could find which mounts on the Nikon 500mm f8 reflex lens and does not interfer with the camera body and battery pack. This allows me to attach the lens to the Wimberly gimbal head instead of using the plate on the camera body for mounting. The plate attaches securely to the lens foot and does not rotate when the camera body is in portrait mode though to be fair you can just rotate the lens collar for portrait mode or leveling the lens.
