The Novoflex Uniklem-42 is is a handy compact clamp solution for affixing a camera (with or without a ballhead) to akward scenarios such as tables, boards, pipes, car windows, etc.
Two support platforms are arranged at right angles to one another, and both have a 1/4"-20 female threading. One male 1/4"-20 threaded screw is supplied, and this has a built-in flathead screwdriver fitting so that the weight could be kept down while the device could nonetheless offer vertical and horizontal camera orientation.

Comments about Novoflex Uniklem-42 Clamp:
This clamp worked extremely well during a Polar Bear photo tour in Churchill, Manitoba. I mounted the clamp with a Gitzo G2180 fluid head on the Tundra Buggy window frame to hold my HV20 camcorder. It could have held a much heavier camcorder. The clamp provided a rock solid mount in temperatures between -4 and 8 degrees F. I often left the camera on the window while I warmed my hands and was never concerned about it loosening. My use of a quick release plate proved superfluous since it was very easy to lift and move the whole rig from one side of the buggy to the other when necessary. The platform surface of the clamp is relatively small for the head that I used but the head never rotated on the clamp and as a result panning was very smooth.
