What I like best about this is that the fabric does not show wrinkles when expanded. No need to steam it like some of my other backgrounds. The painted pattern is also very nice for professional/business portraits, and if color is needed, you can gel a strobe and the gray background doesn't add any tint, but still provides a nice texture. I do think the popup frame is a bit weak for the weight of the fabric, but it's strong enough to stand while leaning against a wall or hanging from a background stand.

Comments about Lastolite 5x6' Collapsible Background - Washington/Dakota:
The double sided collapsable background is just what I needed to add another dimension to my wedding and location photos. Very small package when folded and just the right size when opened.
Make sure you get some practice folding it back up before you take it out. Once you get the hang of it it only take 5 seconds.
Comments about Lastolite 5x6' Collapsible Background - Washington/Dakota:
Great background for shooting headshots or taping video depos. It's the "right" neutral backdrop you're looking for.

Comments about Lastolite 5x6' Collapsible Background - Washington/Dakota:
I've owned Lastolite products for about 10 years, and they always out-perform and out-last the competition. I've owned three of their triangle reflectors, four of their folding backgrounds and several muslins. I have zero complaints except for the fact that they don't make more color/designs combinations. After 25 years as a pro/commericial photographer, I can give the advise to always buy the best equiptment you can get.

Comments about Lastolite 5x6' Collapsible Background - Washington/Dakota:
I just got this background and have already used it for a few portrait shoots, mostly headshots, but I can fit a small family on it for a closeup shot. I've mostly used the dark gray, it's greatly for adding a gelled-flash to make it a different colour.Don't like the marble effect that much, kind of tie-die, but that's what I needed for a client. It's very easy to fold once you watch the video and you can set up in a relatively small area.Seems like it could be easily knocked over. Can't comment yet on durability as I've only had it about 2 weeks.

I use if for headshots on location. It is easy to set up and take down. The stand for it is great too. It has more of an uneven muslin tie die look than a painted look.

The backgound looks great and built nice. My only problem is the zipper on the bag broke and using it a couple of times.

I'm a hobby photographer, who bought Lastolite Collapsible Background. It is a brilliant product, if you like to take portraits. I have used it with great succes, and I'm pleased, that I don't need to edit the background of the picture afterwards. Only small comment, if you to take pictures of people standing, you need the next size.

I bought this product to do a few headshots. It works great. Well built, easy to assemble. Open it out and just lean it against a wall. Can be a little tricky to pack up but fine once you get the hang of it. For what it is generally used for, it works really well.

I use this product for work when I do on-location formal portraits. It is tricky to fold at first, but once you get the hang of it it makes your life so much simpler. The color was different from what I expect based on the picture, but still makes nice portraits.
