The Varizoom VZ-Stealth-DVX is a zoom controller designed specifically for Panasonic's line of prosumer cameras, including the popular AG-DVX100/A/B and the AG-HVX200. This controller has a variable-speed throttle for enhanced zoom precision; change zoom speeds from very fast to a slow crawl with ease. The VZ-Stealth-DVX can fit conveniently onto almost any camera tripod or jib.

We use it with an ag-hmc80 and it works great. The zoom lever is a little sensitive, but once you get used to it it's not a problem. It is rather small, but I find that makes it easier to attach to tripods or other equipment.

We bought a couple of these in a pinch, and I have to say, I was quite disappointed.
The design concept is quite awkward. The back and forward motion with my thumb felt unnatural. The controllers themselves were not well built. They made precise zooms near impossible; there is a ton of throw on the lever before the zoom even engages, so there is no telling when it will start.
I give this zoom controller 2 stars because it was inexpensive compared to some others, and it did work; just not as it should.

I do event videography and have found myself in situations where I must operate two cameras at one time, ( wide shot and close up).
The VZStealthDVX Stealth Zoom Controller enables me to adjust my shots easily with one hand.
Besides shooting on a tripod I can also use it on my Jib. ( using an extension cord that I purchased along with it).

In short, this controller has changed my game. I shoot sports and dont know how I did it without one.
This controller, along with dual pan/tilt arms has made my footage smooth, precise, and flowing. Getting to stand back from the camera and tripod and getting my hands off the onboard zoom rocker is invaluable. INVEST in a controller, and I love this one.
