Photoflex Nylon Fabric Grid for Large (7') OctoDome
This is a Photoflex Nylon Fabric Grid for the Large (7') OctoDome. This grid limits the light spread from your softbox to 40°. It fastens to the recessed front of the softbox via touch fasteners.
Grids are essential accessories for any lighting system. A grid alters the shape and intensity of the light output from your softbox when it is mounted on a light head. Consider a grid as a painter would a brush, or a sculptor would a knife, or chisel.

- The spread of light will be determined by the density of the honeycomb mesh, and the distance of the subject from the light

incredible quality...I can see why it costs nearly as much as the softbox! Very well made, and intricately stitched. This was the answer to my frustrations with the seven foot octodome.....too much light! great for when you wanted to light a family of five, but not when you wanted a lovely moody portrait of one. With this grid and proper placement of the octodome, versatility is achieved. Highly recommend!

I use the grid on the 7'Octodome to ensure the light falls off the bride the way I want it too.
It's well made and works exactly as you would expect with no surprizes.

I recently purchased the 7' fabric grid for my Octodome. It works extremely well at keeping the large soft source focused on the subject of my shoots while keeping spill light off of everything
else. A great time saver and a wonderful value for the price!

Do not buy the 7' octodome without this item. You will be very happy. Make sure you have a small step ladder to help with the installation of the grid.
