Bought these for my daughters and they're perfect. Lightweight, easy to hold and optics are excellent for the price. If you want something light that may be at risk from rough handling then these are excellent.

Comments about Tasco 8x21 Essentials Binocular (Black):

I use this for a quick view of birds, flowers and animals in the wild. When I find something of value to me, then I get out my camera and take photos. It fits nicely in my glove box, and has a case to avoid scratches. It takes up very little room and is barely noticeable to carry in the field.

It coincidently is nice for picking up house numbers and viewing seasonal lighting displays.

I don't wear glasses with binoculars, and I'm not interested in close ups, so I can't tell about those features.

Price is very good, and shipping was fast and accurate.

Comments about Tasco 8x21 Essentials Binocular (Black):

I owned a pair of these binoculars years ago, but misplaced them somehow. The quality of these new ones is just as good as I remembered. They are very compact, and work very well. They come with a nice belt mount case. The best feature is the ability to adjust the one eyepiece, for those of us that don't have the exact same vision in both eyes. This feature is not always included, even on more expensive binoculars. In short, a good product at a very good price.

Got these to replace a [$] pair that broke while traveling in Asia. Use to birdwatch and check out surroundings. These have the same pwr and field of view as my other pr, and so what if they aren't sealed for dust and water? At this price, I won't feel bad when they need replacing. They even come w/ a little case, cleaning cloth and neck strap! And have roll down eye cups for glasses wearers; left and right eye focus, too, w/ coated lenses. Tiny and light, they easily fit in a pocket or day pack.
