SkyMaster Binoculars are economically-priced large aperture offerings from Celestron, great both for astronomy or long range terrestrial observing. The tripod adapter on the 20x80 model provides support and increased rigidity-indeed, these were never designed to be used handheld. Take this beast where skies are dark and mount it to a tripod. Then be awed at their awesome ability to penetrate the inky depths of night, revealing subtle nuances of galaxies and nebulae with all the advantages of using two eyes instead of one.

These 20X80 Skymaster Binos are great!!! For the $$$ they are an excellent deal!!! I mounted them on a 75" tripod so my arms would not get tired and jittery. The tripod made all the difference in the world!!! I definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to view long range views!!!

I was looking for a new set of Astronomical binoculars and settled on these for the features, and price. I was not disappointed. Collamination was perfect. Last night I was observing Jupiter, and you can see the different colors and several of the tiny moons around it. I wish it did come with a hard case, but for the price, not a big deal. Does require a tripod.

Love the binoculars. The tripod is a must. They are heavy but what you can see through them it's amazing. I stumbled into Rigel while star gazing. 770 light years away. Beautiful green, blue and red lights from this beautiful star.

I use these binoculars to help my grand daughter with her interest in starts and planets. Once set up on the tripod we were treated to an exciting clear view of the night sky. Most notable was the ability to see three of Jupiter's moons distinctly.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
So far I have only been able to use these in a VERY urban setting, but last night was clear enough to see quite a bit. The field of view just fits Orion's belt inside to give an idea of what to expect. These binoculars get heavy, so resting them against a window or mounting them to a tripod are necessary for extended viewing. I was able to see the Pleiades last night and was able to pick out a 8.05 magnitude star. I bought these to learn the sky a bit before investing in a telescope and am very satisfied with them so far.

I purchased these binoculars for some amatuer star gazing. They have been absolutely stellar. After mounting to my camera tripod they have been splendid tools for sighting. The binoculars are surprisingly light for thier size and have been equally as fun and useful for sighting during the daylight hours. The lense caps tend to fall off to easliy and the carry bag could be a little more robust with better clasps. With that said though I bought the Binoculars for sighting not carrying and I had always intended to mount them to a tripod. The supplied neck strap is decent anyway so even off the mount they transport pretty well despite thier size....and they are Huge ,quite a little conversation piece...I reccomend Moon viewing with these for sure ,absolutely stunning.

I purchased a pair of these binoculars for use as a "spotting scope" to be used in shooting competitions. I took them to a major match last weekend, and they worked like a dream. Many other competitors took a look through them and were also very impressed with the brightness and clarity of the images (able to see .22 bullet holes easily at 100 meters). These are a superb value. You will need a good tripod to support them, they are heavy.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
We just use this to look out our back across a bay that's about a mile across. It provides a very good view of most objects that far. I like to check out the fishermen in the main channel about 1/2 mile and see if the fish are biting. It focuses in very nicely, just a little hazy at the extreme distances. When we ordered, I didn't realize it was so big, so make sure you pay attention to that and it is heavy so long term viewing may get weary. The tripod mount helps in that department.

Good magnification, decent clarity for day-time use, hard to focus stars, probably best to focus at infinity during the day. Some chromatic fringing, but for [$]... not bad.

These binoculars are a great buy and you won't be disappointed.
They are big and heavy and at 20X you will need a tripod to REALLY enjoy the view. That's not a complaint it's a fact! So, if you are going to buy sometihing this big make sure you do yourself a favor and use a tripod.
