SkyMasters are economically-priced large aperture offerings from Celestron.  They're great for both astronomy and long-range terrestrial observing.  The tripod adapter on the enormous 25x100 model provides support and increased rigidity, but be aware that these gargantuan lenses require an enormously strong tripod.  The recommended tripod and head combinations listed as accessories here are not overkill for the application; actually, they are spot on.  Slap this wonderful instrument upon an ultra beefy tripod/head combo and be amazed.

Multicoated lenses
BaK-4 Porro prisms
Rubber armoring with pebbled prism coverings
Long eye relief combined with large apparent angular field of view
Lifetime "No Fault" Warranty Coverage
Celestron binoculars, excluding the digital VistaPix series, include their wonderful "No Fault" warranty coverage, which assures that your binoculars will be repaired or replaced at Celestron's option for as long as you own them-no questions asked!  The only requirements on the user's end are to ship the binocular (at the user's cost) to Celestron with a proof of purchase and a check or money order for $25 to cover the costs of inspection, shipping and handling.  This warranty service is valid only for USA and Canadian citizens purchasing from an authorized Celestron dealer.

These binoculars 25x100 were the most powerful i could find in my price range, more powerful are way more money. I am very happy with them, they have crystal clear viewing, i can see the moons of Jupiter pretty well. They are not tellascopes so don't expect to see the flag on the moon. But a full moon looks real crisp and quite fascinating. I would definitely recommend these to any one just starting out for sure. Get the tripod too, the celestron one is [$]. or so. [...] The tripod works very well too.

After doing alot of online research, I chose the Sky Master 25x100 and purchased them from my favorite camera store BH Photo. The first pair that I was sent had screws that looked like someone had tampered with. The 2nd pair had lumps under the outer covering and the 3rd pair has dents and lumps under the covering. As for the optical Quality: they look great. At this level they should also look great out of the box. The worst part is that each pair (all 3) have all had some kind of cosmetic flaw! Where is the Quality control?

Comments about Celestron 25x100 SkyMaster Binocular:

I purchased my Celestron 25 x 100 binoculars from B &H and mounted them on a tripod rated for 10 lbs. I use them for astronomy and can see ORION and the Horsehead nebula very well as well as the moons that orbit Jupiter and the rings around Saturn. I also was able to use them to observe the comet PANSTARRS with great clarity. I very impressed with the optics as I also have a pair of FUJINON 16x70 and these Celestron are just as good. For the money I don't think you can go wrong and Celestron stands behind their products. I would recommend them highly.

Comments about Celestron 25x100 SkyMaster Binocular:

Purchased as a gift for a family member, arrived on promised date, pricing including international shipping cost was 35% of price it sells for in Australia i.e good value for money.
Obviously not the Rolls Royce of binoculars but as I don't have eyes like an eagle it performs brilliantly for the purpose it was purchased for and with individual focusing presents the best image I can see with minimal fuss.
I use 8" SCG telescope and in comparison, for moon & planetary viewing, these binoculars are quite good and quick to "set up" for casual / random viewing. photo attached taken with iPhone 5.

I used it very little as it was a gift for my Dad, but I found it to be impressive. You need a sturdy tripod. For the price, it is worthy.

Comments about Celestron 25x100 SkyMaster Binocular:

All the talk about loose screws and poor construction quality are lost on me. These are very nice and powerful and clear - definitely worth the money. And you can't beat the warrantee.

I use them for all kinds of leisure...very often it is hard to find what your looking at when you take your eyes away and see with normal vision.

These are stronger than the 'cheap' bushnell telescope I've had laying around.....Definitely a solid product.

Use a good tripod (10lbs for binoculars) and common sense with the mount and you'll do fine.

Night viewing is also great...seems to let a lot of light in...

Sure is big! But collimation is decent in left and really not decent in right. Instructions say that's "normal" for big binoculars - that does not sound right to me!
